Jon Stewart reveals the essence of Republican hypocrisy

Quote from Gabfly1:

You know as well as anyone that all spending is not necessarily bad. You are trying to minimize the particularly loathsome conduct of Republicans in this matter.

As for the Democrats who voted for the tax cut extension for high income earners, let us not take the point in isolation. The Republicans, always ready to score a political point on the back of Americans, were perfectly poised to withhold aid to the large number of unemployed and the first responders to 9/11 unless the rich got their "aid" too. There was no negotiation to be had and the Republicans themselves made that very clear. The Democrats, knowing full well that the tax cuts to the rich will not provide anywhere near the stimulus value that these tax cut will cost, chose not to play do-or-die chicken at the expense of vulnerable Americans. So you tell me, who has shown more character in a very imperfect world made much more so by the Right?

I did and sometimes do, but that doesn't mean I feel the need to waste time watching it. I already know what he's going to say anyway. All things conservative (even if in name only)/republican = bad, all things liberal/democrat = good.
Indeed. You'll waste much more time right here explaining why you won't waste any time watching a simple albeit embarrassing condensation of fact. Stewart's editorial commentary lasts only a minute or so, whereas the Republicans steal the show in the segment with their own about-face hypocrisy, in their own words -- spoken by them.

Yes, I can see why you won't watch the segment and why you'd rather spend an inordinate amount of time "explaining" why you won't. Oh, and you're very convincing.

Oh I'm going to watch Gabby, the next time I take a dump. Did you miss that post?

It's a multitasking sort of thing.

Can you blame them? Look who his replacement is. :D
Puddles Boehner, the current highest ranking Republican? When they refer to him as SOB, they don't actually mean the acronym.

You do realize that this a global world and U.S. Television programming is broadcast not only to just other country's but is in fact broadcast across the universe.

Or did you not? If not this might explain your obsession with non-Americans commenting on the streaming video coming straight into their media rooms.

I just don't think it justifies their obsession with our politics.

Especially when your point of view gets it right between the eyes, which is often. Yes, your aversion to simple observation, let alone scrutiny, is quite understandable.

Why not?

I'm quite curious about Russian, Indonesian, Indian, Chinese, Saudi, Israeli, Pakistani and European politics. And all of South American Pop Culture. Should I not be because it chaps the ass of someone in North Georgia? I don't think so.

I'm guessing this is your problem. Not his.
