John Carter from Trade the Markets

It's good that they also offer Ag free webinars. I listened to one by fellow named Pat Braham's who said he was a corn trader. I don't know much about ag commodities myself but welcome any learning.

Exactly 2 weeks ago a friend of my who is a farmer called me and said he is seeing abnormal moves in Soybean Oils...not soybeans. He plants corn.
Long story short he went long Aug08 Soybean Oil contract and he adds 2 contracts as he goes up. He is up to 19 contracts right now. His first entry was around .61 and now soybean oils trading around 69 I think. Spoke to him 2 days ago...he is up some $58K in.... It appears China can afford to buy all of US crop but that country doesn ot disclose all information like US does. There was a report that China migh face crop shortage...which fueled the rally but no report from China govt....I don't know I heard anything.

Very interesting developments in commodities, it seems for every day ath stock indexes went down...commodities making new highs.

Interesting.

OptionCoach - What I meant to say is that there are great great, perfect traders but they are lousy, boring, uninteresting speakers..makerteers. While on the other hand there are those who are not good traders or infact bad traders and yet very engaging, entertaining, articulate speakers. So latter group tends to be in the couching position while the first (great traders) remain in player position.

Someone pointed out that Hubert Senters might be an above average trader but a lousy marketeer...which I agree...the guy is a poor speaker though honest and straight shooter, has funny accent, a bit blunt, while John Carter is a smooth operator.

I don't know if Barry Bonds, Michael Jordan and Mike Tyson would make great couches...tho all are respective sports finest yet. While Bill Bellashek or Robert Kraft (owner Patriots) are fine managers and couches but I doubt they can run past the 20 yard line without being ........

make sense?

LMAO... no sorry it does not make sense how Barry Bonds or Michael Jordan would make a nice loveseat with throw pillows

:D.

Yeah, and 10 pages ago you found out he was a fucking con man, so now you need to post a video about his "new" trading method, LOL, you most definitely were one of those kids that had to stick their hand in the fire to believe it was hot ... didn't your stint with Pureschtick teach you anything?

I have been subscribing to John's letter for about a month. Find it very insightful but have yet to find a way to really make money off of it.

If you are starting out you'll find lots of things they send out quite useful, espeically on market internals, commodities, curriences, but as you probaboly noticed I was most inquiring about his mentorship and posted his sample trading videos including indicator uses. Feedback so far was leaning toward negative...I think mostly from the experienced traders...few clowns have been yuping around..but you can ignore them.

Good luck

I really don't know anything about this guy, but I do know that he has a video on YouTube of a what is posted as a "live trade" with 30 contracts, but he's actually using the demo version of the InfinityAT trading ladder - you can tell because the P&L column on his demo doesn't update until the whole trade is complete, unlike the real thing - which, if you watch carefully, does update in the video above. Maybe he got confused, but in the video he comments on the difference between a demo and a cash trade on the InfinityAT ladder (somewhat incorrectly) and still didn't mention it wasn't a cash trade. Take what you will from that.
