Joe Biden f*cked up in his VP pick.

She really doesn't have any other qualification I can see.

Well, her family owned slaves. And isn't that a requirement to be part of the Democratic Party Elite?:D

Democrat Senator Kamala Harris (CA) would be more than okay with Americans paying for reparations for slavery – despite the last American slave owners dying off over 100 years ago.

From New York Post:

Democratic presidential hopefuls Sens. Kamala Harris and Elizabeth Warren said they both support reparations for African-Americans affected by slavery.

Asked about the matter last week on the 105.1 FM show “Breakfast Club,” Harris agreed with the host that reparations are necessary to address problems of “inequities.”

“America has a history of 200 years of slavery. We had Jim Crow. We had legal segregation in America for a very long time,” she said on the radio show. “We have got to recognize, back to that earlier point, people aren’t starting out on the same base in terms of their ability to succeed and so we have got to recognize that and give people a lift up.”

What’s kind of wild is that Kamala’s ancestors used to own people, themselves.

Hmm.

Now, that’s odd, huh?

Here’s what Kamala’s own father had to say about the family’s past…

…(BOLD MINE)…

From Jamaica Global Online:

As a child growing up in Jamaica, I often heard it said, by my parents and family friends: “memba whe yu cum fram”. To this day, I continue to retain the deep social awareness and strong sense of identity which that grassroots Jamaican philosophy fed in me. As a father, I naturally sought to develop the same sensibility in my two daughters. Born and bred in America, Kamala was the first in line to have it planted. Maya came two years later and had the advantage of an older sibling as mentor. It is for them to say truthfully now, not me, what if anything of value they carried from that early experience into adulthood. My one big regret is that they did not come to know very well the two most influential women in my life: “Miss Chrishy” and “Miss Iris” (as everybody called them). This is, in many ways, a story about these women and the heritage they gave us.

My roots go back, within my lifetime, to my paternal grandmother Miss Chrishy (née Christiana Brown, descendant of Hamilton Brown who is on record as plantation and slave owner (and founder of Brown’s Town) and to my maternal grandmother Miss Iris (née Iris Finegan, farmer and educator, from Aenon Town and Inverness, ancestry unknown to me). The Harris name comes from my paternal grandfather Joseph Alexander Harris, land-owner and agricultural ‘produce’ exporter (mostly pimento or all-spice), who died in 1939 one year after I was born and is buried in the church yard of the magnificent Anglican Church which Hamilton Brown built in Brown’s Town (and where, as a child, I learned the catechism, was baptized and confirmed, and served as an acolyte).

Hamilton Brown was born in 1776,[1] in County Antrim, Ireland.[2]

Complicated histories
Finally, it is worth noting that, even if it is true that the Harris family are descendants of the Antrim slave owner Hamilton Brown, they are also quite likely to be descendants of slaves. It is well-documented that British and Irish slave owners in the Caribbean (and their counterparts in the American colonies) routinely raped and engaged in illicit sex with female slaves, resulting in many “illegitimate” children of mixed racial heritage.

If it is the case, for example, that Christiana Brown was the daughter of Hamilton and Mary Melvina Brown, this means that two of Christiana’s siblings were Mabel Melvina and Edwin Hamilton Brown, both of whom were listed in their baptismal records as “colored,” that is of mixed race (as opposed to “black” or “white,” the other labels used in baptismal records at that time).

This in turn would mean that Hamilton Brown, a man born on the island of Ireland in the late 18th century and a prominent and powerful slave owner, had racially mixed grandchildren, after fathering a daughter (Mary Melvina) with a woman whose name did not appear on the baptismal certificate. Although we don’t have clear proof, that pattern strongly suggests that that particular branch of Brown’s family tree derived just as much from an enslaved woman, whose identity may well be lost to history, as it did from Brown himself.

Even if it is the case that the Harris family, by way of Christiana Brown, are descendants of Hamilton Brown, those who seek to attack or undermine Sen. Harris for the wrongdoing of a man who died almost 200 years ago should first gain a better understanding of the often complicated, traumatic histories of black families in the United States — and tread much more carefully.

I’ll take whataboustism for $200, Alex. What’s that, Alex, whataboutism is not a current category?

Yes, and under MPS I said I took a picture of it with my iPhone!

Seriously, you know I’ve been critical of Trump, such as his handling of the Coronavirus crisis.

You are a professional who can see things the way they are, beyond your personal biases when you try. My issue with you right now, you are not trying.

If you are asking my why I don't get upset because she said she smoked pot listening to two artists who were not even out yet at that time and tha tis the worst thing about her???

It is not whataboutism...it is fucking trifling and not worth anyone's time.

I find major lies about things when in office are far worse and reprehensible but most people dont give a shit about that so not going to get all uppity that Harris is of on when she smoked pot...

Not to mention it could've been some bomb ass weed

I don't care in the least if Harris smoked pot or not. She is an Oriole and we all know it.

Some what "black" (not much) on the outside but white on the inside.

She is what we would call a house N.

I know and everyone who knows anything knows it.

It relates to the fact that many blacks where bosses over their brethren. blacks beat down and were bosses over other black. The worst perpetrators of this beat down were blacks. Consider the movie - Blood Diamond. blacks have always beat down on blacks.

Big secret. blacks have always beat down harder on other blacks than other groups. It is a historical fact. blacks beat down on blacks. It has been that way for over 5,000 years.

If you have ever been to Africa today you would immediately recognize that blacks beat down on blacks.

Once a house N, always a house N. Harris is a house N.

I'd think an actual African-American whose grandparents knew slaves would understand black families in the U.S. better than a privileged child of two college professors who grew up on the mean streets of Berkeley, California and Westmount, Quebec.

FYI, the :D was because it was a joke.

Why do you feel the need to classify people ? Your ignorance is showing again.
Holy cow bro.... didn't we just go through 3 months of the media pandering "Biden will (has to) pick a woman of color"?!!!

That is not "classifying people"?

My god brother, snap the f out of it.

Oh and PS... did you see gold today?

The 'Masters' and Joe know the left is not so smart and they will elect any candidate based on their identity. The left does not care about competence, they only care about the candidate's identity. Joe understands this and he picked well.
