Joe Biden f*cked up in his VP pick.

Joe was considered to be and still is a bottom of the barrel candidate in the primary.

Then it was clearly demonstrated that the other thirty- including Kamala Harris- would be even worse than Joe in the eyes of dem voters.

actually this is how trump became candidate. by being the most stupid of all candidates, running for a stupid party and being elected by stupid people.

Wow, 61,943,670 people voted for Trump and you think they're all stupid. Could it be possible they wanted something different than what you want? The arrogance one must have to think they are all stupid...

they wanted "maga" - they got it! lol ...

this is not about arrogance, but trumps campaign 2016 shold have been enough to fully understand that he is a moron, an a**hole, a racist, etc. but most of all - he was and is a very sick man. voting for him - nevertheless - was stupid.

now - after the last 4 years - voting (again) for him would be what? stupidity is a too mild word for it.

You're running on the assumption that all of those people voted for Trump rather than against Hillary.

I voted against Hillary. I thought I knew the level of buffoon I was getting. I was mistaken. But the one thing Trump did do - which was the one main reason I cast a vote for him - was appoint two conservative judges to SCOTUS. That was worth it.

I'm on record on this forum of begging for the left to put forth a candidate that was sane and moderate. I said it several times - PLEASE give me an alternative to Trump.

But what does voting for Biden/Harris give me this time? I'd be casting a vote for the following policy, all of which makes me sick:

Defund the Police
Abolish ICE
Rioting and Looting
Everything is Racist
Cancel Culture
Tax the Rich
Get rid of all guns via Executive Order

Just for starters. Why should I want to support that? So what is my choice if I don't? Does that make me "stupid" if I have to vote against all of that? This is an honest question.

It's a choice between radicalism or listening to stupid tweets for the next 4 years?

It's been amusing to watch over the past 18 hours how the Democrats and their favorite media sources have been working really hard to portray Kamala as a moderate.

You would thing that they would have been working to position her as a progressive (Green climate change, reparations, defund the police, medicare for call, etc.) to pull-in the progressives to vote Democratic.

Instead the Democratic party has made the decision that the progressive vote is assumed and pandering to them does not matter --- they need to attract the unaffiliated voters in the middle.

As a follow-up and example. The Democrats and their surrogates have been working overtime trying to portray Kamala as a moderate.

ABC's George Stephanopoulos says Kamala Harris is from 'middle of the road, moderate wing' of Dem party
The New York Times and The Washington Post similarly labeled Biden's VP pick as more moderate

ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos is the latest member of the media to portray Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., as a moderate choice for Joe Biden's running mate.

On Wednesday, Biden and Harris made their debut as the 2020 Democratic ticket in Wilmington, Del., offering an introduction to the potential future vice president while making blistering attacks against President Trump.

Following their remarks, Stephanopoulos led ABC News' live coverage of the event, where he opined on Harris' political stance.

"Kamala Harris comes from the middle of the road, moderate wing of the Democratic party," the anchor said to a panel. "Not the first choice of progressives but Joe Biden banking that this historic move as the first woman of color on a national ticket will overcome that."

There appears to be a growing trend within the mainstream media to present Harris to the American people as a more moderate politician despite campaigning as an unabashed progressive.

On Tuesday, The New York Times raised eyebrows for referring to the California senator as a "pragmatic moderate." An op-ed from The Washington Post on Wednesday similarly declared her as a "small-c conservative."

During her own presidential run, Harris expressed her support for the Green New Deal, Medicare-for-all, decriminalizing illegal border crossings, and gun buybacks.

According to GovTrack analysis, Harris was ranked as the "most liberal" senator in 2019 outranking both Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. and Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass.

This isn't unexpected. In order to win Democratic Primaries, candidates have to pander to the progressive movement, and appear completely off the wall. Then, to win the general they have to appear moderate. So expect this to be the new narrative.
