why would an illegal stand in line with 3000 people to turn in an application which is going to be subject to e verify?

There have been numerous accounts of Walmart knowingly hiring contractors for janitorial and landscaping services that employ illegals. Same as Mitt Romney's landscaping crew. But very few illegals actually getting a Walmart paycheck.

The law is to allow legal citizens to get benefits. If illegals get benefits, it's illegal. It's not the law. You and your fellow liberals can play with semantics all you want (to claim you are a libertarian is laughable), but when illegals obtain welfare support - any welfare - through illegal means, it is fraud.

I was going to reply to this guy or douche bag but I think either (1) they have incredibly low IQ's or (2) they honestly don't comprehend what has been said. And having just read a few recent comments by loyek I must state to him he is 100% wrong. He can review this and think for a bit ...

If I am an illegal adult and have kids I can get SNAP for them. I cannot get food stamps for myself as I entered the country illegally and am in no way eligible for them. However if I go get some fake ID or counterfeit social security card and misrepresent myself for the intent of getting food stamps (illegally) I have broken the law (yet again). That' it ... nothing 'legal' or honest about it.

Now I don't know for sure, but my guess is the benefit for the legal children is based on the size of the family, so that would enable the illegal parents to also get the food stamps. And it's all legal.

All I'm saying is, you can't just sneak in here and go to the food stamp office and get food stamps as many believe. But if you have a child born on American soil that changes everything.

no the law is, if you are illegal but you have legal children you can legally get benefits. That's the law. They can't arrest you for any kind of fraud because you have done nothing illegal.

Now, they can always deport you any time they want.

Since you are the resident expert on libertarianism, you better go back to that website you judge all libertarians by and re check the libertarian position on immigration.

Not talking only about illegals with children. Plenty of fraud without kids - as has been posted.

As for the Libertarian position on immigration, it's about removing the reasons why illegals come here (welfare and benefits), and then having an open border.

What line? I could go into Walmart and get an application, fill it out in 10 min and drop it off.

As for "very few" getting a walmart paycheck, how would you know? Do you have some statistics showing that?

Whether the illegal parents can get cards in their names is irrelevant. All one needs is the card and the PIN in order to be able to use it. So to claim that one can't get "food stamps" for oneself if one's legal children qualify for them is at best disingenuous.

yes, I have said that all along. The illegal can be deported at any time. What does that have to do with food stamp fraud? The fact that a legal can't be deported would make the risk of filing false documents even less risky.
