Yeah it avoids all potential lawsuits when the relationship sours and the dumpee takes it out on the dumper some way and all the headlines will see is sexual harrassment lawsuit...

I think even disclosing the relationship creates problems as the company will try to still separate the two parties somehow to avoid the lawsuit down the road...maybe they have a relationship agreement like The Office

Of note, the woman also had a responsibility to report the relationship but did not. So arguably there could be more to come with that.

She can defend herself but doing the usual routine that she was so seriously intimidated and subdued by Zucker that she should not be held to compliance because she is a victim. But of course that would take it to another level beyond where Zucker apparently wants to leave- which is his allegation that everything was consensual he and he just failed to report.

Also, Zucker and CNN make comments to the extent that this is just something that came up as part of the state, the network and others doing a deep dive on the Cuomo's. They may be, but I don't personally know that to be true. That may just be their attempt to cover up disclosing that the investigation reached Zuckers doors and what they found about Zucker's involvement was not pretty. Don't know yet.

I'm not an expert on sexual harassment, but I seem to remember from a seminar that even a consensual relationship can contribute to a hostile workplace environment if powerful people are involved.
