Jeff Zucker resigned as CNN president after failing to disclose a workplace relationship

Yep, there are general legal principles that apply but those get supplemented by a company's own policies on such matters, if there are such established policies.

Apparently there are and she -at least for now in some way- acknowledges that he had obligations here as well.

Such reporting policies are not just all about whether the woman was abused or victimized. It is also about the opposite: Is the woman receiving preferential treatment - similar to the factors that go with nepotism- such as in job assignments, promotions etc- just because she is porking the big guy. She is a senior manager herself and should be held to account. Oh, and how did she get promoted to that job and did she have a leg up (little pun there) over some of the other female employees. Not sure she can just walk away from this and say "hey, everything be cool because I was not abused and actually I been pretty happy."

Alright, nuff. Just had that little add-in.

The announcement stunned the media world and network staffers on Wednesday. According to CNN, Mr Zucker had a relationship with the company’s chief marketing officer, Allison Gollust. Ms Gollust acknowledged in her own statement that she, like Mr Zucker, should have disclosed the relationship to company human resources staffers. Instead, it was revealed in the course of an investigation into Chris Cuomo.

All of this is the liability. It’s exactly the reason for disclosure to quarantine the higher up from having influence over her position.

People must be scratching their head asking why the woman wasn’t fired and the answer is because she “subordinate” who could have reasonably presumed Zucker had influence over employment decisions that could have negative tangible outcomes for her refusal.

The office atmosphere has to be crazy at CNN right now with her because they have watch for retaliation against her for having been involved in an investigation. Ostracizing, rumors. Yeah not only could she pull a big, Big sexual harassment complaint but also a retaliation complaint if improperly handled.

CNN SUCKS.

Leaked Audio! CNN's Jake Tapper Pissed About Jeff Zucker's Resignation, Blames 'Terrorist' Chris Cuomo Over Boss' Ousting

Explosive audio has been leaked from inside a CNN staff meeting where the network's talents like Jake Tapper, Jim Acosta, and Kaitlan Collins were caught backing their ousted boss Jeff Zucker and slamming their fired former colleague Chris Cuomo.

The heated gathering went down in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday, hours after Zucker stepped down from his position as CNN President after admitting that he failed to disclose a romantic relationship with the network's Vice President/Chief Marketing Officer Allison Gollust.

Radar broke the news about their affair last month. Their relationship surfaced as part of the investigation into Cuomo's firing and whether the axed host had broken the morality clause.

According to the contract, the clause entitles CNN to fire anyone who sullies its reputation.

Tapper, Acosta, and Collins made it clear — they support Zucker and blame Cuomo for their boss' sudden ousting. Angry Tapper even goes as far as calling Cuomo a "terrorist."

He appeared concerned that Zucker would be made out to look like the bad guy. As Radar reported, Cuomo is demanding the network give him his $18 million payout.

"An outside observer might say, 'Well, looks like Chris Cuomo succeeded. He threatened. Jeff said, We don't negotiate with terrorists, and Chris blew the place up.' How do we get past that perception that this is the bad guy winning?" Tapper's heard spewing.

Collins — who works as the network's Chief White House Correspondent — said there's no need to worry about public perception because "what Jake just described is actually what happened here."

"Chris Cuomo is a man scorned because he was fired for being held accountable for his actions, and Jeff is part of the result of this. It sounds like you did not consult any other executives on removing a critical part of the company, and I think that's the frustration here," she stated.

Acosta — who is CNN's Chief Domestic Correspondent — said Zucker's resignation will have a domino effect, likely forcing the network to face "pretty serious consequences."

"If we had not had Jeff Zucker here during the Trump administration, we probably would have been taken out," he said. "You would have something like 'Fox News Light' on CNN right now, no offense."

As Radar reported, everyone who once belonged in "Zucker’s Boys Club" is terrified they might be the next to go.

Megyn Kelly
was quick to point out a major reason why Zucker and Gollust's secret affair could be a problem for CNN. "To those confused re: why J. Zucker’s affair w/an employee is a big deal: let’s imagine that it actually began earlier than they say. That he was sleeping w/her while promoting her up the ranks over other qualified folks. That he made her an EVP w/o disclosing any of it. Problem?" she tweeted.

While Zucker and Gollust claim their relationship turned romantic during the pandemic, Radar has been told their affair started years ago when they were both married.

Katie Couric has spoken openly about their "uncomfortable" closeness and her confusion as to why Zucker wanted Gollust on their team all those years ago.

“At a certain point, Jeff made a huge push to bring on Allison Gollust (to her daytime television show),” she wrote in her book, Going There. "We’d already hired a PR person for the show. There really wasn’t a role for Allison.”

Couric continued by stating, "I had to wonder why Jeff was angling so hard to bring Allison on board. She and her husband and kids had moved into the apartment right above Jeff and Caryn’s—everyone who heard about their cozy arrangement thought it was super strange. By that point, Caryn (Zucker’s ex-wife) had become a close friend and it made me really uncomfortable."

Couric alleged that she helped Zucker get the CNN position, but when it came time for him to return the favor, he didn't.

“His first hire? Allison Gollust. Oh, and I never did hear from him about that job," she wrote.

Legal sources tell Radar that if Cuomo were to sue over his payout, he could subpoena Couric to provide evidence in support of his claim that Zucker and Gollust had already sullied CNN’s reputation — something her book seems to back up.

So... let's see... since Chris Cuomo was shoved out -- two CNN staffers were unmasked and fired as child molesters. Several staff members were disciplined or let go for sexual harassment. And now Zucker has been shown the door. It's beginning to look like Chris Cuomo is spreading all the dirt he knew about and is burning CNN down as he leaves. Or just hijacking them for a large exit payment.

Top CNN exec resigns as WarnerMedia chief accuses her and former network boss Zucker of standards violations

Nearly two weeks after CNN president Jeff Zucker was forced out of his position, his former lieutenant Allison Gollust has also resigned from the company.

In a memo to staffers Tuesday evening, WarnerMedia CEO Jason Kilar said Gollust resigned after an investigation "into issues associated with" former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo and his brother Andrew, the former New York governor.

"Based on interviews of more than 40 individuals and a review of over 100,000 texts and emails, the investigation found violations of Company policies, including CNN's News Standards and Practices, by Jeff Zucker, Allison Gollust, and Chris Cuomo," Kilar said in the memo.

"We have the highest standards of journalistic integrity at CNN, and those rules must apply to everyone equally," Kilar added. "Given the information provided to me in the investigation, I strongly believe we have taken the right actions and the right decisions have been made."

Cuomo basically showing what a "If I'm going down I am taking all of you with me!" looks like...

Couldnt happen to a nicer bunch of people lol

Yep. It's like that but also beyond that.

Cuomo has lost control. He took zucker and his woman down but he did not control/intend for the woman who is accusing him of assault get involved. She heard him crowing on tv and elsewhere about how he has always had respect for women and so on and so forth and got pissed off and came forward and alleges a flat out sexual assault/not an affair/a Harvy Weinstein type of assault.

Pretty nasty stuff.
