That is what the report is anyway. He has tasked the DOJ to do a review of the issues for the purpose of appointing a special counsel.
Problem is, most of us have gone flat on Sessions. He is low energy, and doesn't seem to want to go out on the hunt. It's more like he just wants to appease his critics. Someone with an attitude like that can easily structure something real namby pamby that is not a real investigation but just sort of deals with things a little.
We will see. Ordinarily I would be psyched over the idea but the mere mention of Jeff Sessions looking into it leaves me flaccid.
On the other hand if one or more special counsels are appointed, the nature of the investigation becomes an extension of their style and goals- not Sessions. Ideally he would appoint someone who likes the sight of blood. He is a weird one. I don't get my hopes up much.
