Jeb Bush wants more nukes and stealth bombers to fight ISIS.

We might agree on this, though I doubt you believe he'd really drop a nuke. It's a form of "soft terrorism". If he can increase our fear over how "ill prepared" we are, then he improves his prospects for CIC. It's a short game strategy, and flawed, since it also increases his competition's relative appeal.
That's whay I sold all my stock in nuclear bomb makers. Nobody is ever going to drop one. So I invested in conventional bomb makers. It's really just a bet on a republican congress. They like to drop bombs as long as they are not nuke, and my company makes really big conventional bombs.

Bush also said this ,

The presidential hopeful advocated for increased defense spending, a new generation of combat aircraft, a larger naval fleet, improved missile defenses and an improved submarine program. He also reiterated that Congress ought to restore the Patriot Act’s controversial metadata program, which collected data in bulk of every American.

The Bushes pretend we're in danger from people living without indoor plumbing near oil deposits or opium poppies so their energy industry and defense contractor buddies can engorge themselves with money we borrow from China.

The Clintons pretend to be progressive while they keep the heat off their Wall Street and banker friends as they build the biggest unsustainable debt bubble since the Tulip crisis.

The ordinary voter is oblivious in both cases but seems to have enough of a sixth sense to want something new.
