Sim traded last few days. Straightening some things out. Starting to make sense to me again what I'm supposed to do.

It occurred to me once more that if I could have some patience I could make some decent money. Need more patience in the range. That shouldn't be too hard to fix.:rolleyes: Seriously, I can see what it costs me so ready to step it up.

Simming is good. Did learn something new, or how to apply something I already knew.

I'll be on Sim Monday, maybe Tuesday as well.

Traded Live today.

Went OK for awhile with good patience and objectivity but later I f'ed up. I believe there are some triggers, missed trades, trades that fall short of target, trades that go way beyond my exit etc that are causing me to lose my patience & focus and trade with emotion.

Possible fixes are trade less hours and eliminate one of my entry triggers which works well in a specific context but I use it too often in the wrong context. Most important is I just need to trade with better discipline. Time to demand much more of myself. My set ups are fine.

I'll be on SIM until I get this fully resolved.

Heading out for annual Cabo trip tomorrow. Back next week. Pretty caught up at work so I'm expecting to spend more time with trading when I return. Back to keeping stats, more review, more attention to my mental state.

Still here plugging along. Re-reading chpts 3-4 in Trading in the Zone over vacation helped. Simmed after I got back then past week live. Lost a few ticks.

I'm back to doing more daily post trade review. Annotating charts, noting mistakes, correct behavior, missed trades. Very, very helpful.

Been a weird year. Thought I had this trading thing down then had a 4-6 week period where I could do nothing right. Now, I'm back feeling more confident which comes from review and study.

Mentally , trading mostly relaxed and patient. I look forward to trading in the morning.

In the past I often would focus on one area for a few a weeks or months i.e. No moving targets, more patience, take more valid entries etc. Now just trying to take all that and put it together so everything is done properly.

I know where my unnecessary losses come from and I know how I should trade for a positive expectancy. So now I just need to do it. Consistent actions and consistent profits is the true measure; not my ramblings.

Confidence - comes from doing - repeatedly..., consistently..., with patience and discipline

It's been a "weird" (up..., down..., up..., down..., up..., down - roller coaster) year - because the above lacking

I am such a buzzkill - and broken record
