Thanks. My brain is kind of clearing also. That was a long weekend.
I noticed on the Myers Briggs thread your results vary -- mine do also.
Just goes to show great minds think alike! :)

After yesterday, today was fun, had to risk a bit more but much less frustrating.
Reason most don't average down is losses can be staggering, plus you have to have one hell of a small losing percentages Trading Plan. If I get losses very early in day session, I am adding on heavy size and end up 9 times original position, and to get two full losses without wins in between, you get deep pretty quick. I normally keep trading, I do have an "Uncle" stop for the day but that was not hit and kept trading heavier than usually for the time I was trading, and by end I was barely up on the day. Now if I was doing one lots, it was happy day. Yep, when losing I still get the fear, frustration, swearing, I get into a passionate mindset of screwing every son of a bisket trading against me and rip off the heads of the inexperienced to get back to even. I truly expect to not lose on any trade, and THAT should be mindset of each trader knowing your method, would you actually take a trade where you thought you were going to lose? Today was elevated risk, but nothing like not losing.

But if I had lost three trades yesterday, it would take minimum of six weeks to recover.
I never recommend to average down unless you have years of experience, healthy account size and know your trading method better than anything else in your life. Many companies have been taken down and gone bankrupt cause trader didn't have "Uncle" stop of when to stop trading so you can trade again a different day.

Resume Starbucks trip.

Jas, Am sorry for loss of your pet, they often give us much relief and love when we need it most, they just seem to know when you need it most.

That quote is taken directly from a lengthy Mark Douglas interview I transcribed a while back. When I heard him put it that way, my mind shifted from an underlying belief that I can be "right" or "wrong" on a trade, to a clear understanding that adhering to my risk management plan for a trade means I'm right no matter what the outcome of the trade.
