Trading will / does change a feller

Yes it does.

I'd heard before the saying that the market is an expensive place to learn about oneself and that to be successful one must change. I didn't quite understand it and believe I asked once 'what has to change, who will I become ?' Well, I know now through conversations with myself, doing some writing and analysis of my beliefs that the changes can be a good and welcomed thing. Still takes work to maintain the changes but that's ok.

I give myself a couple more days and if my discipline doesn't improve there will be a little ass kickin despite what I said yesterday.:eek: Exiting trades too soon.

One good thing is I think I'm seeing the market a bit differently than last week. It feels more familiar. I don't want this to sound like an excuse but I think I'm still getting the trader muscles and mindset back.

Mid session I did take a short break and acknowledged my frustration and was able to let it go and refocus. That's good. Right now I do feel ...hmmm....quite, quite irritated. It's alright, i'll talk myself through it and it'll pass.

Every mistake I make is just reinforcing what I should be doing. Time to step back out on the invisible bridge and trust it will hold. And I was thinking about the rats today too and then forgot to let 'em trade.

If that true - it a very important skill..., not one you want to constantly rely on..., mind you

But a very important one that can be pull out of the tool kit on occasion and used

Matter of hunkering down..., doing your job..., extracting profit


Mkt will try many ways to throw us off our game - we isolate our self and do above

There is no reason why every day (or at least almost every day) can't be like today

Easy - no..., doable - absolutely

It boils down mind over matter management

Thanks jas. Been here. Behind the scenes working hard on the trading plan.

It's taken a while but I'm proud of the journey even though it's been tough.

Hope to be back in a couple weeks.

Quitting early today. Got to bed later than normal last night and slept in today. Then instead of rushing to get here I took my time, stayed relaxed and didn't worry about missing moves.

I was rested and focused when my session began.

First, and only, trade I saw setting up and thought that based on HTF measured move & channels, set up type and airspace that the trade had a potential 70+ target.

Got my entry held through a normal but long PB then trade stalled and I exited for 29 ticks.

It was now mid session usual slow period. I lost some focus and then lost more focus. So that was it. We're nearing rollover and that can make trading weird. Decide to take my money and run after the 1 trade.

I like everything about my trading today. And that is a nice feeling.

Oh and for the record, price never got close to that target.
