Quote from Tsing Tao:

I don't think BWolinsky suggested anyone that wasn't already suggested by the President. It's a choice between two shitty options, and you try to pick the least shitty one.

Yes, these two do appear to be the options on the table for President Obama to choose from.

I don't think either would be too different than what Ben Bernanke has done already, but Yellen is not my choice so if that's clear enough, there isn't a neither because those aren't the options that the White House is presently considering.

Some choice. An insider crook or an idiot. Par for the course. Why should anything change?

Why is Summers an "idiot"? The man's a genius! So as long as being Harvard's President or former Chief Economic Advisor makes one an idiot, I'd hate to think about anyone who hasn't been in that position and what that makes them.

That kind of talk just isn't constructive.

Even for Yellen I know she may be an insider but there's nothing about managing the money supplies that makes anybody a crook.

Summers is the insider crook. A really smart guy, but a crook none the less.

I don't get it?

Yellen's the vice chair of Uncle Ben? And this isn't the insider?

Sure, an insider crook or an idiot is very confusing for the outsider who's not familiar with this discussion.

Are you really trying to imply that Summers isn't an insider? They guy has been in the game forever. And yes, Yellens an insider too. And yes, they're both really smart, which is why they're so dangerous. Really smart people make really good crooks, especially when it comes to white collar crime. Smart, politically connected, corporate connected, and have no problem fucking millions of people to turn a profit for themselves and the good old boyz club. Forget what I said. Either one is perfect for the job, such as it is.

Insider to what? Yellen's vice-chair? OK so Ben's not making the decision, but that is a complete pairwise misunderstanding anybody can make. If you were going to say "crook" I guess I discount his lectures and the work he's done for financial institutions since it is less about real insider information trading than about the kind of "crook logic" one can use for Yellen in her position as vice-chair.
