Obama won't fire him. Hillary won't either. She'll string him along letting him think he's home safe until after the smoke clears a year from now and there is a new scandal to keep the media occupied. Then she'll "arrange" for him to step down after praising him profusely for his excellent leadership of the FBI.
Nixon, in desperation, ordered the A.G to fire Cox. [I was with a friend standing next to Cox in the Boston (if I recall correctly) airport later when Cox's suit case came apart as he lifted it. My friend has now the distinction of helping the nonplussed Cox gather up his scattered clothes from the floor of the Boston airport.] The A.G. immediately resigned, then Nixon ordered the deputy A.G. to fire him, the deputy (Ruckleshaus (sp?)) promptly resigned, then he ordered Robert Bork to fire him. Bork did, and all hell broke loose. After that more people favored impeachment than didn't. Nixon was on borrowed time. [every day, after work I'd come home and flip on the TV and watch the day's hearing.] shortly after Cox was fired by Bork, a Federal Judge ruled the firing illegal. We know now that Nixon offered a supreme court nomination to Bork if he'd fire Cox. [Bork admitted this later.] Nixon also invited the judge sitting in the Elsberg case, while it was proceeding!, to San Clemente, presumably to discuss children and golf.

Just taking a little dig there. We aren't fond of the guy either and your assertion that he is finished is likely accurate. The man has managed to infuriate everyone.

can you imagine the pressure Obama must to put on Comey to be correct this close to an election.
They must have shown Obama the smoking AR with an illegal magazine, an illegal suppressor and a grenade launcher. They might even have something on Obama to back him into line like that.
