Trump drops the ball picking on protesting black NFL players

Americans well know Trump's bait-and-switch tactics – if Issue A is not going well for him, or if Opponents B and C are getting too much media oxygen, he goes to the mattresses on Issue D or Opponents E and F.

North Korea and Obamacare, inevitably, will come back into the news. And for now it's too early to say if Trump can win his new war, launched against predominantly African-American sportsmen as he wound up a predominantly white crowd in Alabama.

"But not just one knee; I'm taking both knees. Both knees in prayer for our planet, our future, our leaders of the world and our globe. Amen," he said from the anti-poverty music event.

but maybe the process that approved an America hating muslin to buy the team needs to be looked at as well.

Of course you are against a Muslim owning an NFL team.I'm sure you would be against an Hispanic or Black person owning one as well.

Tom Brady I Certainly Disagree with Trump ... 'Just Divisive'

Tom Brady is speaking out against his good friend Donald Trump -- saying his comments blasting NFL players who protest are "just divisive" and he disagrees with everything POTUS said.

The Patriots QB appeared on WEEI's "Kirk & Callahan" on Monday and was asked to weigh in on Trump, considering he once had a "Make America Great Again" hat in his locker.

"Yeah, I mean, I certainly disagree with what he said and, you know, thought it was just divisive," Brady said.

He's clearly referring to comments Trump made on Friday night where Trump encouraged NFL owners to fire any "son of a bitch" player who takes a knee.

Brady locked arms in solidarity with his teammates before the Pats vs. Texans game on Sunday -- and explained, "I just want to support my teammates and -- I always thought, I'm never one that says 'Oh, that's wrong,' or 'that's right,' ... but I do believe in what I believe in, and I believe in bringing people together and respect and love and trust, and those are the values that my parents instilled to me."

"I've been blessed to be in a locker room with guys from all over the United States over the course of my career ... I mean, I think one thing about football is it brings so many guys together."

"Guys that you would never have the opportunity to be around. Whether it was in college, and all the way to the pros. And we're all different. And we're all unique. And you know, that's what makes us all so special."

"Among those who follow the NFL at least once a week, roughly 30% say they are less likely to do so now because of the increasing number of player protests. Only eight percent (8%) say the protests make them follow the league more."

If even half of those folks actually follow through, that can impact revenue for the NFL in a major way.
Borrowed, errr, stole this post from another site but it's right on the money.

If the NFL suffers, it suffers. But it'll be quite comical because it's going to suffer because of this:
A sup par/mediocre quarterback started a trend of kneeling during an anthem. This led to other millionaire players doing the same thing, which in turn got everybody and their momma talking about it.
So ratings decline because an ineffective form of protest by millionaires makes the people that line their pockets, not want to watch the sport.
Meanwhile, the actual thing they're protesting remains unchanged because kneeling does absolutely nothing towards working towards fixing the issue... it just gets everybody bickering at each other; notice, most people aren't event talking about what they're supposedly protesting. Likely when election time comes around, the millionaire kneelers will buck dance for some politician who will pay lip service to the "reform."

Because passing new laws and using the word "accountability" a thousand times will somehow make government agents follow rules, even though they don't follow the ones that exist now.

Everybody's catchin' L's.
