Jaguars owner, Ravens players, coaches among those who join arms during anthem

On a day that promised protests unlike any the NFL had ever seen, the first game of the day, kicking off across the Atlantic in London, set the tone.

More than two dozen players on the Jacksonville Jaguars and Baltimore Ravens knelt during the anthem. Many more, including Ravens coach John Harbaugh and Jaguars owner Shad Khan, locked arms with their players in a statement of support for their teams.

Khan’s participation in the statement is notable for several reasons; owners have historically sought to remain both literally and figuratively above what takes place on the field, especially when politics are concerned. But Khan
donated $1 million to President Donald Trump’s campaign.
He later criticized Trump’s February attempt at a ban of immigrants from Muslim countries.

On the other sideline, the most notable figure kneeling was former Raven Ray Lewis, who’s been sharply critical of the protests begun by former San Francisco 49er quarterback Colin Kaepernick during last year’s preseason.

Trumps not a racist Tony. He just says stupid shit without thinking and it allows the MSM to easily rip him to shreds. Anyone can take any statement that is not meticulously crafted and portray it in any way they want. They despise him, so they continually sow the seeds of divisiveness forcing a polarization of our country using his lack of refinement when speaking from the hip and the power of their pulpit to enrage more and more people. Implying all his supporters are racists as you always do is COMPLETE BS. Some of them are, but they were racists long before he came along. They would be supporting Jeb Bush if he were in office. Or Rand Paul, or Cruz, or whoever... it doesn't matter. The real tragedy here is that the MSM has seized the opportunity and forced this ugly genie out of the bottle giving it a new voice. Confederate flags were flying over statehouses up until just a few years ago. The Klan has always been there. Nothing has changed. Why weren't players doing this 2 years ago? Why now all of the sudden? Can I get an answer to that? Is it perhaps because THEY are being played?

The real powers that be on the far left, the ones with the long term agenda, are merely seizing an opportunity that having an unthinking narcissist in the Oval Office has presented them. Trump's uncanny knack for emulating some kind of comedic TV personality is a dream come true for their agenda. Unfortunately this is weakening the core strength of our country more and more with each passing day. We're regressing. Is that perhaps their goal? I think so. And its working.

Try to see things for what they really are Tony. Loose the tunnel vision. If you really want change for the better, you'll have a far greater chance if you can rise above the brainwashing and use your voice to appeal for solutions instead of constantly fueling the fire of one side's extremist agenda. You're being played my friend. Ask yourself what it is you really want.

I think you are overthinking a simple and obvious situation my friend.Trump is racist and so is most of his supporters/ republicans.As far why now? It's been building for a long time and it took 1 person (Hero Kaepernick)to light the match.
