Romney's base just wasn't broad enough. I still don't see how his strategist sold him a bill of goods that he could win that way.

Cyclically I think there are a number of things that could help boost the reputation of whomever is in the WH over the next 4 years. If Romney had won, he would have benefited from it. Frankly, a rock would too - it's just being there when it happens.....

So giving up the seat for the ride was a bad mistake, which largely rests with Stuart Stevens.
