It's about to get real

Right, the standards should be set and if that happens, the blood in the congressional streets will flow wide and deep. That is why I expect them to circle the wagons around Conyers. He goes, a mass sacrifice will be called for.

We know how the game is played here.

It's the old refer it to the Ethics Committee routine which lets all the dems argue that "all allegations should be investigated and taken seriously."

And then, Congressman Conyers denies all charges but wanted to amicably settle the case and just coincidently has announced that he will not be running again in 2018.

It was a picnic while it lasted.

Victim signed non disclosure agreement. That's his out for the one who got a lousy 27K. Certainly there are others. Expect republicans to assist in providing cover as their asses are on the line too. Let the hand wringing begin.

Seemed to me that a lot of normal people (not you guys :) ) voted for Trump as they wanted it all to break down / blow up and start again in Washington. Not how I would have done it but the disaster is POTUS now.

Lets not take half measures having gone this far, blood on the aisles it is.

So long as it's done across the board, let the blood flow.

When the Democratic machine and their media enablers went after Roy Moore they opened the door for a "war of attrition" over sexual allegations in Congress. The recent allegations against Al Franken by the Republicans and their media machine (Fox, etc.) were a warning shot across the bow of the Democratic party -- and they didn't listen.

So now it is on.... and it's going to be very entertaining to watch the Senate and House implode in a frenzy of partisan cross-aisle allegations. IMO over 70% of these D.C. politicians have sexual dirt in their closet that can easily be dragged out into daylight with a little media investigation -- divorce papers, legal settlements, decades old allegations, photos with a questionably placed hand, etc. etc. It is all fair game in the current environment. Grab your popcorn -- this will be better than anything on Netflix.
I'm still skeptical that when the dust settles that we'll see a different landscape. Right now it looks like the main goal of derailing Moore is all that is really on the table. A few celebs are seeing their careers blow up. They'll ride off with their millions. A couple political types will get their hands slapped, don't be a bad boy anymore. Government and media minions will come together and say the infamous line, "moving forward" we'll hold the slugs to a higher standard, but all is forgiven for the sexual sins of the past. IOW, the left wins.
