It's about to get real

Will be interesting to see the push back on this one. Black man, sitting senator.

BuzzFeed, in an article by Paul McLeod and Lissandra Villa posted late Monday, reports that Conyers settled a wrongful dismissal complaint with a former employee who charges she was fired because she wouldn't "succumb to (his) sexual advances."

Citing a complaint obtained by BuzzFeed including four signed affidavits from former staff members, the report says the ranking Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee made repeated sexual advances to female staff.

They allegedly included requests for sexual favors, contacting and transporting women with whom they believed Conyers was having affairs, and rubbing their legs and backs in public.

When the Democratic machine and their media enablers went after Roy Moore they opened the door for a "war of attrition" over sexual allegations in Congress. The recent allegations against Al Franken by the Republicans and their media machine (Fox, etc.) were a warning shot across the bow of the Democratic party -- and they didn't listen.

So now it is on.... and it's going to be very entertaining to watch the Senate and House implode in a frenzy of partisan cross-aisle allegations. IMO over 70% of these D.C. politicians have sexual dirt in their closet that can easily be dragged out into daylight with a little media investigation -- divorce papers, legal settlements, decades old allegations, photos with a questionably placed hand, etc. etc. It is all fair game in the current environment. Grab your popcorn -- this will be better than anything on Netflix.

Yep, it's going to be a monster food fight. Conyers is no also ran senator. The guy has been there forever, a leader in the Black caucus, very radical left, and is guilty of sexual misconduct while in office. I don't see the left throwing him under the bus all too fast, but if he doesn't go, nobody should go.

I expect NOTHING to happen here.
There are different sets of rules for some.
I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. We will see.

In the new frenzied environment - created by the left - no sexual allegation, no matter how minor, can be ignored anymore.

This is definitely quid pro quo sexual harassment which a big no-no. I’m surprised she only got $27k.

This guy should be gone relatively soon but there is so many dynamics at play here. neither side knows where the next shoe will drop so they all have to be thinking if Conyers goes, that’s a standard to hold every other congressional member to.

People talk about democrats eating their own and so forth. I don’t know about that but the democrats do have a lot more women in their conferences and I’m sure that makes a difference.

I am just waiting for the first female Senator or Representative to be accused of sexual harassment against either a male or female on their staff. That will throw all of this for a new twist involving politicians of both genders.

Right, the standards should be set and if that happens, the blood in the congressional streets will flow wide and deep. That is why I expect them to circle the wagons around Conyers. He goes, a mass sacrifice will be called for.
