Skill improvement drill # 1.6
Great stuff Tiki!

Padawan, thanks for your comments, I cannot argue with that logic, particulary when we are focused on FTT to FTT. As you mentioned, I will stick to the routine. I see you added a Forward testing channel too. Cool! and thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Thanks cnms2 for putting some perspective back in there :)

There is plenty there (FTT to FTT that is), no sense even thinking about scalping ticks on volatile bars here.

It is great to see you folks displaying the effectiveness of this method. Very cool!

Just parroting Spydertrader. :)

Out of curiosity I've extracted frames from Tikitrader's "1-5" video. I don't think that this intra-bar activity offers any useful additional information to reverse long. The yellow highlights are spaced about 1 minute apart.

The context is drill 1 bar 5 broken into 1 minute increments.

In all of the options the open of the first minute bar 1 closed slightly higher than the close of the fifth minute bar. Just like the 5 minute bar number 5 closed slightly lower than the open.

Since all 5 minute bars are NOT created equal and since we may enter or exit anytime within a bar I was curious if there are any
situations where the change signal provided would of been negated by the real time formation of the 5 minute bar.

Perhaps I am too much in the trees.

WMCN drill 1-5:

ES: decr black volume (above flaw level) in down channel => Change
YM gate opened: b2b; last OB defined the retrace's Pt3 then its VE

The drill's video seems to show increasing PRV when price moves up for both ES and YM, except the YM's volume accelaration down during the last minute, after the price stalled in the Sym. YM's red PRV is bellow last black peak.

Action: reversed LONG at the closing of the just closed ES bar.

The place where right becomes left, as PointOne mentioned a while back...

Well, I actually said, "where left becomes right". I try to be accurate. :)

No one picked up on my previous comment about the nested fractal nature of the PV relationship (or if they did they kept very quiet, LOL). I know this has been discussed in the past. If you haven't constructed a 2 or even 3 level (64 cells) PV matrix - Jokari (sic) window - then I encourage you to give it a go.

The neat thing is you score the cells in binary, the place holders elegantly take care of the 2 or 3 fractals you are monitoring. You can track the migration of price-volume pairs periodically by hand or program it in Excel. It's cool. It cements the channel relations in your mind. If you follow Jack's convention with increasing V first (to match the channels or is it an APL artefact?), it has an inbuilt leftwards comfort bias although logically you could have the matrix the other way round.

Personally I can't thank the man enough and I look forward to passing this stuff on outside of ET when the time comes. Thanks Jack, please don't waste any more time on the sad, damaged and angry.

LOL...yeah, sorry about that. Realized the mistake while out and about. The rest of what you said went way over my head...except the part about being thankful for Jack and passing the info along. :D

Where is the expert?

Kinda sound like "Where's Waldo?" :)

I have attached my thoughts, and would greatly appreciate it if you guys would review and comment.

PointOne, if you are getting an AHA from a drill or exercise, then I want to do it too :)

Problem is, I am a little slow... Could you throw up a small example of the matrix exercise you are referring to?

 :D This is very cool. Thank you. Need more time to digest.
