Iterative Refinement

This drill has been a eye opener for me. THANK YOU !

I've been stuck on the entry/exit mentality. Even though on Bar 4 and bar 5 I can see change by the decreasing Volume and lateral movement in my real and UNSUCCESSFUL world of ES daytrading I would be holding onto my Long until an Entry trigger appeared like bar 6. This drill really opened my eyes to this.

Since it's the weekend I like to see how a 1 minute chart of Bar 5 might influence the CHANGE thinking to CONTINUE.

Would any of the options shown in the attachment effect the CHANGE or CONTINUE thinking ?

What 1 minute chart sequence would of got you to change from CHANGE to CONTINUE ?

... It's what Mak showed in some futures journal posts ...
Wanna know what has really been baking my noodle...

I am beginning to think that the "Expert" level trader is waiting at those turns to reverse into those areas of strength! I take a moment to ponder that... I mean really, what do you think Jack and MAK and Spyder and others mean when they talk about "front-running" :D

After seeing what I have seen in this journey thus far, I am forced to say, I have NO idea... Yet...

Not sure what you're looking for in the 1 min bars  . But just looking at the bars, although the context (big picture) is missing, these are possible annotations.

Please take this in the light it was intended:

If your eyes have been opened, why would you want to 'add' something to the method that is not, (i.e. one min chart)? If this 'addition' or 'invention' were useful, wouldn't Spydertrader have mentioned it's use?

This is not a slam, just keep focused on what brought you to having an eye opened. Everything you need has been presented.

Interesting. Right now I'm thinking it means the experts must be the the group that trades into/opposite strength (the herd) when the time's right. The place where right becomes left, as PointOne mentioned a while back...where the minority controls...where you can have volatility compressing, volume peaks pooping out, DOM wall, and two pair ...that's where the expert is.

Great! I like that thinking :)

Now it becomes a matter of resolution and "fineness". For instance, might drill 6 be one of those points where we are looking for such things, and if so, what would we be looking for specifically at the fine level?

EDIT: I should note that my intent is NOT to take anyone DOWN the rabbit hole (especially given the tools being used to perform the drill), but just to stimulate some conversation and maybe plant some seeds in my mind...

might you be calling me an "enterer-exiter-er-er"??!!! lol, J/K

Funny, that is where my head was at during this drill.

The drill now is only one layer of the analysis. Continuation or change -signals from the market.

Remember there is context that applies to those signals.

Everyone has added their context to the drill,
over the months to come there will be a greater emphasis placed on that, and it will come together until analysis meets Decision.

Spyder has some plans on that later in this journal.
It is a nice feeling to present the material to be covered, it is the sharing part of what we do here, but there is only one teacher.

The contributions have been great, and they are the best part of sharing.

Good question, and no worries. Our focus is on 5 min. and 2 min. signals and context for now. I'm not moving deeper in MADA 'til I've got those two down cold. However, I think it's possible to have general discussion/understanding about these down-the-line topics without going off the deep end. After all, they are what must come next. :D Let me ponder your question while completing the drill.

If you take the above alphabets and convert them to numbers...

add the numbers together, you will get 2 digits.

add the digits together... and you will get a person's handle.

go search for this person's post on March 3...

WMCN is awaiting.
