Isreal has declared open war with Lebanon :D

Good morning Brains.

Instead of spending money on bombs, bullets, destruction and death that has got them nowhere other than a larger painful deficit controlled by China (Irans friend, not America's), the 'pussies' have invested the money in social care and higher standards of living for all.

Mr. Brains,

The only reason Europe has not had to invest in a strong military and therfore been able to invest in social care is because they have ben leeching off of the US. After all, why build a strong military when they can use the US to do it for them.

If it wasn't for the big stick of the US sitting in Europe, sucking up US resources that could be spent at home, Europe would either be called Germany or the USSR. Hell, that option might even have been preferable, at least then we would not have worry about the dumb ass french spouting off stupid shit in an attempt to make them think they are still world players.

Quote from Sam123:

Unfortunately, when this is all over, we will still have the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Hezbolla’s playground in South Lebanon, and the “plight of the Palestinian people.”

To eliminate this problem is to remove these stateless territories utterly, either by incorporating them as part of Israel, under one government and rule of law, or by compelling Egypt, Syria, and Jordan to take them in under their responsibility and rule of law.

The best and most intelligent post on this thread!

And no one responded to it.

The 'incorporate as part of Israel' part will never work since the arabs do not even have Israel on any map. The arabs will never let that happen.

But the idea to give the palestine people (whomever they are) the right to be represented by their own people - great idea!

Has anyone in our State Department ever posed this question?

At least the Europeans to their credit have largely kept out of this whole mess. This doesn't make them 'pussies', it makes them wise.
How about Balkans StreamlineTrade? In my vocabulary, it's not wisdom but impotence.

And in the end its a waste of time and money and innocent lives. Whatever happens, at the end of this Israel will still have to draw up a constitution and permanent borders, agree to some mutually (un)acceptable negotiated settlement with her neighbours, return the stolen property and pay restitution to the rightful owners.

As for Ratboy's post, I dont see any aggression aimed at a whole people - just criticism of the Israeli ex Israeli Prime Minister - an individual. This doesn't suggest a racist attitude as some of the 'Zionists' posts do, yet these are the very people who come down like a ton of bricks with such accusations as 'racist' etc when ever some one points out the short comings of a government.

how wrong can one man be !!!!!!!!!!!!! did you not read the rule book? to state a fact like Begin murdering innocent British women and children and then becoming Prime minister makes me a nazi. go look it up...it is rule 201 subsection A5 in their handbook.

What do you mean by: "the palestine people (whomever they are) "?

It is this transparent disdain or hatred of a people and a denial of very their tragic situtaon that drives US foreign policy and by extension the continued chaos in the Middle East.

That's what I don't understand either. Do they need the boots on the ground to pinpoint the locations of the katusha rocket launchers & suppress their fire from the air? Can't they intercept the locations of those launches from the spy satellites & hit at them from airplanes? I hope this compaign is well planned and somebody did the modelling of this war to project the number of casualities.
I think this is going to be a short operation. Israel's intent is to first impose an air, land and sea blockade; then conduct operations aimed at destroying as many weapons possessed by the hisbollah while looking for the soldiers taken hostage; and in the process punish the Lebanese government in the middle of the tourist season for not disarming hisbollah.

Yeah,
Wait another 10 years and many "peace loving" European "pussy" nations will have turned into muslim theocracies. Their irresponsible leaders will have fled to the US, Chirac included.
:D
