No they didn't turn a blind eye; they just either 1) don't care, completely desensitized by what's going on in the world and are mesmerized by the video games on their cellphone or 2) for those who do care, they believe it's justice, justice against all the atrocities that Israel has committed against the Muslim countries throughout ages and this is just a little payback. That 200 lives lost to them is nothing and besides they believe Israel deserves it. They even let some of the hostages go, in their eyes, they believe they are behaving like Mother Theresa!! Hamas or I should say all of the terrorist groups have what I call "self-centered victm" mentality - Whatever I do to others is nothing but god forbid what others do to me is atrocity. With that kind of mentality, they always think they have the short end of the stick and are always the victim so they feel they are always justified in their attacks.
