Quote from Mercor:
One issue is that Israel allows Arabs to live on their soil, but the Palestinans will not allow a single Jew to live on its territory.
With all due respect Mercor, but it seems that you are very good at twisting the truth. The following is the truth:
1- Palestinians living in Israel never left their homes, It is Israel who came and expelled the vast majority of them and built itself over their 500+ towns and villages
2- The West Bank is an occupied territories. The Fourth Geneva convention prohibits an occupying power from transferring citizens from its own territory to the occupied territory (Article 49). The Hague Regulations prohibit an occupying power from undertaking permanent changes in the occupied area unless these are due to military needs in the narrow sense of the term, or unless they are undertaken for the benefit of the local population.
The establishment of settlements results in the violation of the rights of Palestinians as enshrined in international human rights law. Among other violations, the settlements infringe the right to self-determination, equality, property, an adequate standard of living, and freedom of movement.
3- The Palestinians who stayed behind in Israel are citizens of that country, not a foreign one. They follow the law of the land of the state of Israel, they pay their share of the taxes to the state of Israel and contribute to the progress of the state of Israel. The West Bank settlers, on the other hand, are not Palestinian citizens but rather citizens of the state of Israel, pay their taxes to the state of Israel, do not follow the law of the Palestinian Authority. Their contribution are summed up in dissecting the West Bank into 28 sealed enclaves, steeling their water resources, steeling their most fertile land and homes and turning their towns and villages into big open air jails as in the example of Qalqilia and Beith Lahem, Nablis, Ramallah, Beereh, Jenin, East Jerusalm.
20% of Israel's population is Arab. If the Palestinans would allow the same mix of population then it would be easier to draw boundries.
You are again twisting the truth. The Palestinian population in Israel is 12%, not 20%.
