Maybe you could share what you need this person's background to be
"Twenge attributes Millennials with the traits of confidence and tolerance, but also identifies a sense of entitlement and narcissism based on personality surveys that showed increasing narcissism among Millennials compared to preceding generations when they were teens and in their twenties."
Scary. Really scary. I think these two are the worst possible traits for the kind of stuff we are doing.
While the Millennials are an annoying bunch, I do find it a bit telling that literally every older generation says that about the younger generation's. The "silent generation" said it about the "baby boomer's". The "baby boomer's" said that about the Gen X'er's, etc, etc...

In order of importance:Maybe you could share what you need this person's background to be
In order of importance:
- Nice person.
- Smart.
- Knows stats.
- Can program.
That's probably it. Everything else can be fixed or learned. I mean, this is not my first rodeo (if anything probably my last one). I know that I'll have to kiss a lot of frogs to find that one prince, but it's been one regular frog-kissing festival so far.
Someone who is 30+ will likeley be too senior for this position. It's a junior role, there is a lot of scat work involved. You need to interview someone in their 25-30's. Anything under that and you're looking at an entirely different mindset.
Math for the first one, second had masters in CS.What college major did the 2 individuals have?
This one has been kissed by the best, he'd never fall for me.This one can play the banjo.
So I've been interviewing a bunch of junior people and literally everyone was taken aback by the fact that we expect them to trade in Asian hours. It's not even graveyard shift, it's from 7pm to 2 am. Why such a hate?
