He defended Freddie Mac's role and said, "every American should be interested in expanding housing opportunities." Long unpopular among Republicans, the federally backed mortgage lender has become a focal point of anti-government sentiment because of the housing crisis.

Obama supporters are rejoicing in the republican circus. Even the politico's from the right, such as Steele, admit that this field has done nothing but help Obama.
I am not a fan of Obama, he has sold out in many cases. But, unless the right gets someone, anyone, he'll be around for 4 more years.
