Auto trading is a dream that billions of dollars have been made from by the same people for decades.

Renaissance Technologies does nothing but auto trade their systems. The founder is worth over 14 billion. The firm has made over 60 billion and been around for over 20 year and their last losing quarter was over 20 years ago.

Their are a number of automated firms in similar boats.

Your completely missing the qualifier by tuveyD. joe poor mcpublic --- sure with billions to spend anyone can find edge-- but turvey was saying its impossible for regular retail traders.

He also died broke and depressed after numerous boom and bust cycles

He knew what he spoke of very well

Not sure Livermore died broke: as I understand it, he committed suicide ( his then wife had a former ex who also committed suicide).
It is also my understanding that in his properties, loads of cashes covered the place.
It looks more like he committed suicide because of depression, and not because of "lack" of money.

can you explain what lead you to such assumptions?
Regarding "broke" : "Broke" is relative. Livermore's estate was valued at around 5million when he died.

They can give you a mental edge , diswiring normal human brain , the normal human brain is wired to lose.Depressives are not satisfied with mediocre performance , their low self esteem pushes them to aim higher than normal human brains.
