Is it worth trading the week of Christmas & New Years?

Quote from Clubber Lang:

Yeah, if you're trading a few hundred shares here and there. Otherwise it's basically a free lunch for predatory algo's to whipsaw you all over.
well there you have it. If you're just trying to make a living trading a few hundred shares it's ok. But if you are really big, the algos will get you.

that's why at my Christmas Party I only invite really big traders, because I know the small few hundred share traders will spend the whole holidays trying to make a living.

Is it "worth it"?

I guess it depends on how bad you need money.

Apologies, Japan is open on Xmas day.

It better be, I just ordered some sushi and sake :p

the market very volatile in the last couple days, this is no dull market if anyone whose been in the market this long. VIOLENT market.

Quote from marketcross:

every day is like this.

if you are losing money then it's not worth it. you don't get paid to trade if you lose. why do something unless you get 'paid'

Hi. Is it worth trading the week of Christmas & New Years? Is the market dead or can it still be traded?

I never thought about it that way

Like the man said, "Out of the mouths of babes comes wisdom."
