I think not only ET but any other community online attracts invidividuals who want to just annoy others and tell a lot of lies.
Internet is their playing ground, they feel they can say or do what they want. These individuals make up some fantasy stories about themselves and tell it to other people. Obviously people are not dumb and when they confront them about their lies, that's when usually the arguments in the forums start. Usually those who are liars tend be known for their aggressive behavior in the forums.

From my experience with other forums and these were not trading forums, best strat is to ignore the person and their insult, put them on iggy list and continue your discussion with the others on board. This tactic has worked really well in other boards. The thing is such dorks, they want your attention and get a whole lot of satisfaction from harrassing you online and if you get angry or pissed, they get a kick out of it. Like OC said it makes no sense to argue with people who you don't know and don't care about it.

It's a pity that you stopped posting your trades in your journal OC. I hope to engage in interesting discussions especially in options trading and hope to add some interesting people to my buddy list.

p.s. I don't think that the people who are annoyed with dorks online go away but they simply stop posting and keep logging onto the board to just read stuff on the boards.
