T28 ain't so bad kiwi, he's about as pure neutral as you can get, and he's already explained why.
(in case you haven't noticed, I like'em, although I have to try pretty hard not to be like'em!) 
Not for nothing folks, the way you see people interacting here ... is the exact same way they interact everywhere else, you name it, job, church, any other group setting, it's going to be exactly like this ... for my money, AT LEAST HERE YOU WILL GET TO INTERACT WITH OTHER TRADERS, which will stimulate an extraordinary amount of thought and reflection about trading, and hopefully, add to your bottom-line of making money in this game.

I'm equally familiar with the process of "mirroring". Plainspeak, reflect back to others how they talk to = treat you. There are self-imposed limits to that, being careful to remain on topic and impersonal beyond the topic discussion.
The opposite of love is not hate, but indifference. Love and hate are very parallel emotions, experessed in two different extremes. People are only passionate about what matters greatly to them, which is expressed as love, hate or some combination of both.
I happen to be passionate about people seeking knowledge & information per any topic in life. I have been (and still am) an active teacher of many things apart from financial markets. I commonly travel long distances to do live workshop demonstrations, free of charge, no strings attached.
My audiences are children and adults who are trying to learn various outdoor pursuits with no real money involved. It also benefits wildlife and the ecology in many ways, real passions of mine as well.
I abhor people who try to negate, repress or dissuade others from seeking education. I myself was discouraged from attending college, which I feel was a major mistake in my life. It bothers me to see similar things done to anyone else regardless of the subject or study.

Many people here are obviously passionate about Jack Hershey. Remember what we said about love & hate being the core stem of passion? The more passionate one is, the stronger their expression of feelings.
I'm indifferent about Jack. What he is or does is completely irrelevant to me. I'm indifferent about T28. What he does or does not is irrelevant to me.
I think ET overall is a fairly good forum that could be many times better with few changes. But, I'm rather indifferent about that too. If it goes on forever or folds up shop next month, my life is not impacted one whit. While I'm here I try to do good and glean good respectively. I suppose others looking in can make their own judgements, probably much better than me :>0
Whether y'all love Jack or hate him, it's pretty much the same emotion inside you. As for the depravity of posters = threads in here, for sure it is a major reason why too many people who pass thru the registration turnstiles keep right on going out the opposite way.

... and the same can most definitely be said for all of those institutions I mentioned and quite a few more.
This has nothing to do with ET in particular, but more with the human condition in general.

Sorry you were dissuaded from persuing your higher education if that's what you wanted, while not having experienced that exact situation, I still know exactly how you feel.
FTR, doesn't appear to have made much of a difference.

He is demonstrating certain frustration he has inside him. He might not realizes it, but the frustration is eating him alive, bit by bit. Unless he can search inside to find the cause, and to search outside to find a channel to release this negative energy, this energy will continue to manifest itself in a destructive way, which he might think is directed toward Hershey, but in fact is reflecting back to himself.

Trading involves money, a standard by which most men measure themselves = value their own core self-worth.
Trading seems easy: just buy low or sell high. Right?
Trading has nil barrier of entry: fund an account, join the ranks.
Trading is deceptively difficult. It does not easily give the fiscal or emotional feedback traders first expect.
Those who struggle with success at trading endure all the negative feelings of failure and frustration. That manifests itself in forums like this and others you note.
Those who finally succeed at trading still inherently, deep down harbor fear that it could all end in a flash. Constant mantra of account management, defense, protectionism, etc.
There is a common misconception that individuals are pitted against each other in this profession. In other words, too many posters believe another poster is the enemy trying to take his money. That wrongful belief manifest defensive posturing, naturally.

Ego is a mask of fear. Traders first fear lack of success (failure) measured in every way. Then they fear lack of sustained success (failure) once the next step is reached.
All along the way, traders fear one another as individual enemies in battle. Never show weakness. Never let the enemy see you sweat. Be on guard at all times. Stay defensive. Weaken the enemy, strengthen yourself.
Just about every negative (fear-based) emotion inside of us gets constantly tweaked in this profession. Truth is, we trade financial markets that are nameless & faceless with no individual parts. Any single trader or group of traders in, out of the market at any time is irrelevant to another's profit or loss results.
No one here will take my money from the ES tomorrow, nor will I take theirs in turn. We do not take money from one another... it all comes from a general pool regardless of individual actions. There is no competition amongst traders, yet that's what too many inwardly or outwardly believe.
Add that to emotional feelings of failure or fear of failure, and the tone of these message boards will remain intact until human nature changes its core.
