Is homosexuality a choice?

Many gays were forced into a straight life because of family, church, and peer pressure.

Many of the active gays were always attracted to men, they just "did not want to go there" because of the ramifications...

There are gay NBA and NFL players, etc. but they rarely or never reveal who they are until after they retire from the league.

You probably have gay tendencies, but are gripping so hard to control those tendencies that you need to rail against those who have come out of the closet...

Other are confused about their own identity, sexuality, etc.

Lots of people are bisexual, in as much as they are attracted to both sexes, and being very sexual beings, they have no issue with sharing that part of their life with the people they fall in love with, or just want to get their freak on with...

If people like you were to become more accepting of gays and gay marriage, then we would likely see more gays...because they non longer have to live in shame.

It is no big deal anyway, as procreation these days does not depend on straight sex...

What you fail to grasp, and this is important, is that it may be sinful to be gay. Maybe it is a mortal sin, I have no idea.

But say it is a mortal sin, well then who are you to tell someone else what to do?

People in America are sinning like a monkey daily, breaking nearly all of the 10 commandments, and I don't see you trying to stop them...

Americans like, cheat, steal, take God's name in vain, don't remember the Sabbath and keep it holy, cheat on their wives, covet all kinds of shit, etc.

Look, if straights are actually secure in their marriage and family structure (which given the failure of straight marriage in America and the number of spouses who cheat...that is a very tenuous position) then they will not be threatened by gay marriage...

By the way, I don't insist on gay, or straight, or 3 way, or 100 to 1 way marriages...I do insist that it be a free choice of adults to do what they want when it comes to loving relationships...

If gays want to marry, they should have the same Constitutional right as straights...

Fuck what the Churches think, separation of Church and state insists on religion not being a factor anyway...

If it is a product of nature and not nurture then why can't homosexuals reproduce ?

We are born without knowledge and the environment shapes our behavior as we move through life.


I guess one could argue that a male with a low testosterone level may not feel as attracted to females as one with a normal level.


In the end it still comes down to choice.


I can want to kill somebody, but I still have to make the choice to act on my thought.


Another poster commented on how many gays were straight before they became gay. I do know a few females who became lesbians after living through abusive marriages or relationships.

I have a completely unsubstantiated theory on that one, the 50/50 rule:
A full 50% of hot young females are into other chicks- at least on some experimental level.

Bear in mind most of the people you describe are probably bisexual. There are far more bisexuals than gays.

The biggest selling point of Eastern European (except Polish) women is that they respect traditional gender roles, always happy to let the man wear the pants.
