Is day trading worth it?

Again, a misuse of terms to appear knowledgable in this field

You are describing what HAS happened. What you do is descriptive, not predictive --- and that's what fools the noobs---- how does this provide an edge?

Ps--- I guess on a simulator there are no commissions. Otherwise with a real account, scratching means making money since you cover your commission. These chart artists are real entertainment but hugely hazardous to real trading.

Surf, you really moved to Moscow? :D

No, I'm describing what's GOING to happen, unless price stays in this range for the rest of the session. If that occurs, there will be no trade for today.

As to how it provides an edge, that is in the material for which I provided a link, including the definition of an edge.

And "scratching", for these purposes, means getting out immediately if the trade does not go in the expected direction, up if long, down if short. This is not complicated.

Your statements look like open ended "if then" statements to me --- but maybe I a wrong. Can you make a call for today so we can see your acumen? A specific market call, not hedged in any way. Thank you.

As I said, twice, if price breaks above the TR, go long on a retracement. If it breaks below, go short on a retracement.

Do you know what a retracement is? If you don't, see the linked material. Or do a search for "retracement".

$40k a day? Wut? I've had two days this week better than $40k and it's Tuesday. I posted my blotter. WTF is yours?

This from another serial loser (ND) whose only blotters consist of those 5 years old and losses of >10% per day.

What was that? You "rarely" have a losing day, is that correct? WTF are your blotters? WTF are the calls?

If DBP isn't full of shit then prove it. Otherwise cut the shit with the 10 threads on the same topic.

I've been on this site since 2002. I don't take kindly to spending my time here during the trading day with a pile of serial losers and degens who are defrauding newbs or outright loons (NoDoji never has a losing day). My record is for all to see and I've posted more trades than anyone on this site. I posted a thread when I took out Oanda's options due to their model error. Same goes when I blew out Trinitas Capital. If anyone thinks I haven't given enough to ET then let them be heard.

I expect better than a bunch of fraudsters and sim-traders.

i have to bump some (not all, lol) of DP points

firstly, no one has made more trade calls in "advance" than this guy in all of ET history..and i have been here since 2003 lurking, then posting. that point is an objective fact, not subjective.

hell, there have been many that did not pan out and were clear to see..thus reaffirming the honesty in the calls...none have been edited that blew.

of course you had more winners...kudos.

enough said on that. he knows me well, as i know him..and we have disagreed our share..but one thing we have in common is ability to trade for decades..quite well.

Nodogi....u have to be a crackpot (and then some) to say (which i read verbatim) u never lose anymore...are there really people here who actually believe this nonsense?

please i beg you not to reply with some of ur calls...or quotes..i do not need to see (again, in my case u can see why because i post blotters, et al for years here)

DB, do u really sell an ebook? forgive me if i am off...no time to flip through countless posts.

With all respect, how much is a retracement? And how much is a breakout before retracement? I guess people mean this by clarity.

Depends on the bar interval. But a retracement is any move counter to the prevailing move. Some call it a pullback. A breakout in this case is a move above or below a trading range. The pdf that's been mentioned provides a number of chart examples, or one can look at the charts posted to my journals. Or he can search "retracement" and "breakout".

Thanks. See where's the problem: what you tell makes perfect sense to me as theory of the markets. But it isn't strictly a call or prediction by any means.

Points well taken---- but drownpruf is second to the late great marketsurfer as far as number of specific calls made on this site since 2000. Not talking accuracy, just numbers.
