How many traders out of 100 do you think could follow a proven automated portfolio of systems?
Depends on what you meant by "follow".
For example, if you're talking about an automatic system that the trader designed for themselves...the percentage is higher that the trader will follow their own automated system if its profitable.
In contrast, if you're talking about a trader following the automated system of someone else that is profitable...the percentage is much lower than the above because there's that "doubt" always in the back of their minds.

My feelings exactly. You can set it up as fully auto or semi auto where the trader is notified of the trade opportunity and then decides on his own whether or not to take it.

Correct. The semi-auto approach can be very dangerous....as it can then veer from the backtested results. On the other hand, a well-seasoned trader with tons of experience with the algo, might actually be able to improve the performance thru intuition, etc.
I don't see this as viable, otherwise back testing would have shown to have changed it, I simple don't even look at it till evening, they run 23 hours on most markets and I go do other things. Automated systems that have less than year of running are watched by others to make sure they programmed right, but I don't not take a trade otherwise don't see the point of having it.
Intuition? I have huge book of how often I am incorrect on this, LOL
The semi-auto approach is used successfully by a a lot of traders and you may be looking at it wrong here. They'll use intuition, "gut", signals, whatever, to decide on market direction then use automation to execute their trades for optimal order entry price. I do this myself and know of numerous others who follow the same blueprint.
You almost have to nowadays. Most sweet spots get bounced off of rubberband style
