IRS Has Lost More E-mails . . .

Rectum's that and more. How un-American and unpatriotic it is to defend, obfuscate, or even turn a blind eye to this, regardless of party affiliation.

If you look at when the news first came out, Odumbo clearly realized the gravity of it and was concerned... until he saw that he could still count on his sycophants in the media and in politics to help him out.

And...idiots like Ricter

National Archives boss: IRS ‘did not follow the law’ on lost Lerner emails

The top U.S. official in charge of archiving federal records testified Tuesday that the IRS ran afoul of the law by neglecting to tell his office that a trove of emails from the woman at the center of the targeting scandal disappeared after an apparent hard drive crash.

Archivist of the U.S. David Ferriero, speaking before the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, made clear that federal agencies are supposed to report whenever their records are destroyed or even accidentally deleted. But he said that after emails from embattled IRS official Lois Lerner vanished after a computer failure in 2011, nobody told the National Archives.

"They did not follow the law," Ferriero said.

The testimony comes as lawmakers dig for answers as to how Lerner's emails disappeared and why they only found out about it earlier this month. Lerner herself twice has refused to answer questions before Congress, leaving lawmakers seeking answers from other officials who interacted with her or were involved in reviewing her documents.

Some interesting facts about this leftist hack Koskinen.

John A. Koskinen is the former Non-Executive Chairman of Freddie Mac from September, 2008 to December, 2011, retiring from the Board in February 2012. On December 20, 2013, Koskinen was confirmed by the U.S. Senate to head the Internal Revenue Service as Commissioner of Internal Revenue. On December 23, 2013, Koskinen was sworn in as the 48th IRS Commissioner after being nominated by President Obama.

OK, that tells us he's a former criminal from Freddie Mack. No big deal, they all are. Let's look further.

Koskinen served as President of the U.S. Soccer Foundation from 2004-2008. He previously served as the Deputy Mayor of the District of Columbia, the Deputy Director for Management of the Office of Management and Budget, and then later President Clinton's Chair of the President's Council on Y2K, 2000 Conversion, the Year 2000 problem.

So he likes soccer. Whatever. Deputy mayor and deputy director and general hack in D.C. Yeah, yeah. Typical. Served as Chair of president Clintons Y2K conversion. Whoa! Now that's not a position you would entrust so someone without some broad tech knowledge. One of the primary functions of this agency was to determine the readiness of government/corporate structures through surveys and data gathering. Hmmm.
So let's tie some dates together. This long time leftist retires from feeding at the trough in 2012. Then, for reasons we can imagine, Obama calls this government hack, tech savvy leftist out of retirement and appoints him to head the scandal ridden IRS in Dec. 2013. How convenient.
Just one little question. If you wanted data to mysteriously disappear, needed a loyal soldier to oversee it, just what kind of guy would you want? Seems Koskinen fits the profile perfectly.

It's a conspiwacy!

Apparently, he cannot.
I can see the difference, and AAA is correct, of course. The IRS should have chosen a "progressive" group to go after first, though there were few of them. Instead they followed the standard practice of going after the audit targets that seemed the easiest pray and promised the greatest return for the effort. (That's of course why millionaires are more likely to be audited than paupers. ) They made a huge mistake in not anticipating the political fallout.

No. They made a huge mistake in "losing" the evidence that exonerated them. This is, of course, assuming it would have exonerated them in the first place - which only you and your ilk believe.

Yep, it was all just a big coincidence, target conservative groups at a 95% rate, then because you were a victim of incredible bad luck plead the fifth amendment in court, and then your luck takes a real ride south when when suddenly all of your emails that would have vindicated you dissappear off of your hard drive from the company you work for, a company that just so happens to be known for their meticulous dedication to record keeping.

Humor me for a second on this, and tell me something piezoe, regardless of where you work, how many times have you ever lost pertinent data on a computer you own due to a hard drive crash? Ill give you a hint, i recently went swimming in the fucking river with my cell phone in my pocket, and although it would never turn on again, i was able to get everything that was on it, and transfer it over to a new phone/computer. I sold computers for a short period of time while going to school, and it was incredibly rare to hear of people losing the information on their computer, people came in with all kinds of reasons as to why their computer was fucked up, and the low level techies were almost always able to get their stuff off of it, except in very rare circumstances, with the thousands of computers i sold it probably only happened a couple of times, Lois Lerner must be the single unluckiest human being alive.

If nothing else, Lerner should be found guilty of criminal negligence, the IRS would put you in jail if you tried the same story with your taxes.

The amount of cognitive dissnonance it requires to believe that there "Isn't even a smidgen of corruption" on this one is unrivaled.

"Million to 1 shot doc, could have happened to anyone, swear to god."

This from the LA Times :

"Why an agency that relies on record-keeping would keep such limited records is a mystery."

http://www.latimes.com/opinion/editorials/la-ed-irs-lost-email-20140625-story.html

This story has legs, and is not going away any time soon.

Also, the IRS agreed to pay $50K for releasing Defense of Marriage donor data illegally regarding the California ballot initiative.

Regulatory agencies are created to enforce laws established by Congess. Not to influence elections and bully citizens to confirm to any particular societal viewpoint.

" Not to influence elections"

Lol, that's what started this whole thing, Kock Industries money trying to influence elections and get tax exempt status while they're doing it.
