Irma time

Up here in Tampa, people are already leaving - which I think is a bit premature. Stores all sold out of everything. Can't find propane, and gas is very limited. Had to go to three stations to fill up this morning.

I went through 5, Cat 2&3 storms... messy, but survivable. You can recover with a little restoration and a couple weeks of clean up. Cat 5 is waaaay different!

Suggest you pack up and leave. Best case, you were inconvenienced by an unnecessary evacuation.

There is very limited supplies down here and the roads are already chaotic. It will be very mayhem once it passes as people will realize the size of the destruction and the limited roads open to travel on. My game plan is as follows, as of tomorrow's update if it veers east and sustained winds die down to a 2-3 I will ride it out. If anything above a four is heading with 100 miles of where I am at, I will be driving out of Florida and then worry about how to get back then. Peace out and good luck, I've been in a handful of hurricanes and have seen what sustained winds can do to the best built homes after 30 or 40 minutes of pounding...paper machete.

If they say to evacuate you should . My townhouse in Staten Island go pretty badly flooded during sandy and had no power for over 2 weeks a few people in my area got killed and many hurt by not leaving. BE SAFE
