Latest track has it missing you guys (assuming you are Miami) and going west. Current track as of 5pm has it going over my house, almost directly.

I was feeling winds as early as 7pm last night. Tsing it's new target is Tampa, but it keeps shifting west and I don't see a clear turn up the coast of Florida yet. The turn they were predicting has not taken place. Tsing, Hopefully for us it keeps that trajectory. I'm praying for you Tsing. I think we will be ok. Good luck bud.

Thanks, ElC. We're pretty much in the line now. House is all boarded up, everything is stocked. At this point we're pretty much assured a Cat 3, but I've got a new house all up to specs. We'll be losing power in the next 12 hours.

Just as a FWIW, when we built our new house in MO (tornados and occasional ice storm) I installed a Generac 20KW. It runs off a 1000 gal propane tank. Cost about $4,000. Was pretty easy to install, but I'm an electrical engr so that helped. Runs most of the house. Starts automatically 20sec after power loss and turns back off when power returns. Not meant for continuous duty, but should work fine for a week or so at a time. Only lost power a couple times here, but it fired up and ran perfectly. It does a 5 min crank up test every week.
