If you have ever done any business in any of those countries then you'll quickly discover the value of the saying:

"Actions speak louder than words".

Having a contract there written up means nothing, looks like it is more a letter of intend than anything else. Basically they regard as something to wipe their backside with.

And the courts being what they are, they do not give you much succes in enforcing anything, escpecially if you are a foreigner.

And the ordinary population regards that as one dictator replacing another dictator. That has always been their history when there was a change of power.

In these countries it used to be that anyone who dares to question the current ruling regime was very quickly shut up (permanently).

Now they are like children testing the boundaries how far they can go. And as with parents: until these parents slap them hard they think it is all a game and that the other person is a weakling.

Look at the bomber in Bali, he poses for the camera like he is a hero.

More and more I am starting to believe that our "western civilized justice system" ain't working too well in countries that have such a different culture.

Just in case you don't "remember", this country (U.S.A.) has done more great and noble deeds for this world than any other country ever DREAMED of doing. Has everything the U.S. done been good and noble? Of course not. (So you can keep your list in your pocket, if you please.) But then, why be a pessimist? That may be what separates us from all the rest. Don't hate the player, hate the game. I'm against the terrorists' game. How 'bout you?
