iPhone 6 plus or Galaxy S5- help me decide

I canceled the IP6P order. I was on my wife's work 5S and I realized how much I hate the OS. I will admit that holding down an app to delete is brilliant. It's a PITA to have to go into the applications file in Android to do the same. Mostly an issue with culling the 40 games my kids download each week. SO I will miss that and the 3/8" bigger screen, but my S5 is big enough -- and has the Wolfson DAC and AMOLED. I realize that it's at my size-limit for something to fit comfortably in the pocket. I would go with a Note3 if I didn't have the iPad Air.

Bro, getting down to the wire, I'm damned close to saying fuck the i6p. Store mgr has a S5, and try's to tell me the i6p will be twice as good as the Samsung. I'm thinking commission must be more.
Also, was at docs office yesterday, and the two gals working the front desk both had the S5. Both also told me basically, "screw the iPhone." They listed their gripes, and that made me think about it again. Now I'm standing here with a Pelican case for Son's phone, and it's huge in pocket. And I'm also wanting the Wolfson. You hearing what kind of sound the note 3 has? I like that phone, and actually like it better than the smaller 4 they're coming out with.
 
The Note3 also has the WM5110 Wolfson. The IP has the Cirrus Logic. The Cirrus is decent, but not to the level of the Wolfson. TBH, a lot goes into the final product (analog signal to headphone) beyond the DAC, but the SQ on the S5 is a bit better than the IP, IMO.

Personally, I think you will be thrilled with the S5, Bodyguardz Pure screen glass, and the Pelican case. The tempered glass isn't really used as a protector, but it's super slick. Feels like teflon and the color/saturation is awesome.

S5 also has the biometric.

Are you AT&T? ATT has the Bodyguardz screen thing and case in stock, locally.

Was just reading your post at the cell store. And you just educated a sales associate, lol! I'd say I'm gonna wind up with the S5. They have the note, but the guy said wait on the 4, which I'll do as I do love that note. Very nice!!! And did you know the i6p is even taller than the note?? I don't think I want that thing hanging out of my pocket, nor falling out while I'm doing stuff. Think I've talked my Son into the regular 6, and am now going to see if they'll let him have a sneak look at both since they have "one," lol. No way am I waiting outside for two hrs in the sun only to take the 6 plus back in two days! Oh no! Again, I had to laugh. You literally educated an asst. mgr, and can imagine the store will read what you wrote as I left it up. I'm wondering if I post this now, will they all think I'm busting their chops, which I'm not. Ypu own an audio/electronics store on the side? Lol!

Can see that. And there's just something about a phone that's too tall.. I don't mind the width of even the Note 3. In fact, I like it. Like it well! Trying to hold some tiny phone up to my ear cramps me all up, lol. Also, they've got the Note 3, but as stated earlier, I'm told to wait, as the 4's supposed to be a home run. Would wait, but my i4s battery started running dead every couple of hours, and the constant charging, I can take no more.
 
The IP's batt is very good, but cannot be removed w/o taking it to a shop and having them pull the phone apart for replacement.

I actually got good at replacement after a youtube lesson.

I'm not at all impressed with the i6p's strange size. Looks like one of those big long packs of cigarettes some chicks dig. Tall and narrow. Dumb looking imo. May be a great phone for some, but I was completely finished this afternoon, when trying to download dropbox, so I can save 600+ pics, and clips. When trying to download it, "you must upgrade to ios 7.1" Ok, tried that, and had to delete shit in order for it to fit. Next, wouldn't let me download it due to the battery not being 50% charged. Even though most would think this would download while plugged in, that's not the case. Must be 50%. Sooo. Now I sit here with it in airplane mode trying to get a faster charge, as I have more things to do besides play aapl games. :(

Anyhow, Son is going with i6, and I'm absolutely going S5. Got the Pelican case sitting in front of me. That reminds me, are you recommending the Pelican Voyager? That's what I have. PLEASE don't tell me there's a lighter, thinner one as I don't want to drive anymore than I did today... This thing has a belt/pocket nerd clip deal it can snap into. Hope I have the right one. Bought the same thing for my Son in the i6 shape. Have a i6p case for a good deal if you ever change your mind, lol.

Which one, the HD Impact, or HD Impact Anti Glare? If I'm reading between the lines correctly, sounds like the anti glare version may cut down on screen quality. Stick with the plain HD Impact?
