Right but why not just buy a laptop? Seriously. I don't want to run my life on an i-pad. I would use for recreation. So I don't need 50 gig of ram and 100 open ports. I honestly don't think Steve jobs built the tablet with the business customer in mind. That may change in the future. He has been pretty stubborn about even making his macs business friendly. I honestly don't think he wants to even service that crowd.
So no, I would not be interested in the high end i-pad either. I just think a laptop beats a tablet hands down on pretty much everything across the board.

How do you guys trade on tablet device? Did you find it better, or just more convenient on a tablet than on a laptop?

once again you guys are bitching about stuff the ipad was never intended for. It's lightweight easy to use tablet for browsing, email, movie/video, and some fun apps.
thing that drives me nuts is the lack of flash support, I just started development using adobe flex recently, coming from java and google gwt ui, adobe flash development is at least a decade ahead

I find it less hard to believe after seeing some of the awesome iPhone apps they have for trading with certain brokers. I love zecco's mobile app. It would be more awesome on an iPad with even more features.

The top-of-the line iPad2 with 4G and the larger 64GB SSHD is $850.
The Asus EP121 Slate is $250 more for a faster processor and 3.75GB more of RAM. Not counting more open ports, more expandability and a more open business OS platform. Seems like a far upcharge.
Why would YOU spend $1100.00 on a tablet? You probably wouldn't. But they make different size cars and models for the same reason. Different individuals have different needs for the equipment they buy.
