Ipad 2

I received my iPad2 a week ago and can tell you that it is not a replacement for a pc by a long shot. As a media player, it is great. The Flash issue hasn't been a problem for me yet. The fact that there is no way to use a Microsoft Access file short of remote controlling a pc is a problem for me.

That said, an iPad or similar sized tablet when I away from my pc is better than trying to trade with a Blackberry!

Quote from Kpatel83:

...
As much as things change, they always stay the same!

Except changing from

19.2k baud modem to cable modem/DSL/FIOS
CRT to LCD/LED monitors
landline to wifi
corded to wireless keyboard/mouse
RJ11 cord dial tone to VoIP

those changes are never the same and I like them... :)

I think devices are more and more special-purposed. Just use them for what they are good for. Nothing should be a be-all and end-all device.

Other “iPad nations”

The iPad has reached this level of market penetration in several other countries as well. For example:

In the United Kingdom, iPad’s iOS makes up 0.94%, versus 0.74% for Linux.
In Canada, iPad’s iOS makes up 0.91%, versus 0.76% for Linux.
In Australia, iPad’s iOS makes up 1.19%, versus 0.66% for Linux.
In the Netherlands, iPad’s iOS makes up 1.16%, versus 0.81% for Linux.

I am entertaining the idea of getting the ipad 2 solely so I don't have to exit my positions to use the bathroom. Am I alone on this?
