IOTA

It's built for Internet-of-things automation. Interesting and a different objective than Ethereum or Bitcoin.

"IOTA uniquely offers zero-fee transactions & no fixed limit on how many transactions can be confirmed per second.
"Scaling limitations have been removed, since throughput grows in conjunction with activity; the more activity, the more transactions can be processed & the faster the network.
"Further, unlike blockchain architecture, IOTA has no separation between users and validators (miners / stakers); rather, validation is an intrinsic property of using the ledger, thus avoiding centralization."

This above seems like it is an improvement over Bitcoin, however, it should be noted that Bitcoin's strong advantage is the significant network effect of being the biggest and most-accepted coin.

The Lightning-Network, which is to be released very soon as second layer on top of Bitcoin, will provide all that as well. But has the strongest settlement layer additional.

Anyway a technology like IOTA focused on IOT (internet-of-things) is interesting.

What exchange did you use? Can you deliver to your wallet or do you have to store at exchange?

I'd have used bitfinex if I had to do it again. I used some Chinese exchange. Downloaded Android wallet. Have to get on a desktop to do some confirmation to transfer

Someone said in zerohedge comments that binance do not let you transfer off exchange. Who are you using?

Binance :(.

Though it just seemed to have an extra layer of BS to get it done. My stake isn't huge mind you.

IOTA has successfully completed the initial phase of the project and now is seeking to connect organizations like the Nordic Semiconductor, which focuses on ultra-power performance wireless System-on-Chip (SoC).
