Well, IOTA's tangle does (superficially) seem superior to blockchain. If thisis so, one crypto is already obsoleting most others.

UPDATE: At the time of writing, according to Worldcoinindex, IOTA has moved up to number four on the charts, surpassing Ripple.

IOTA $9.39 billion (at a price of $3.3799)
Ripple $9.16 billion (at a price of $0.2375)

(Coinmarketcap has slightly different figures of $9.53 billion for Ripple and $9.46 billion for IOTA.)

Either way, what is known for certain is that IOTA's volume has been huge in the past 24 hours, as noted by just21 above.
