Quote from Pekelo:
Anyone who used the speedtest website, try this one:
Instead of choosing the closest server, try one with about 1000 miles away. (you can zoom out using the scale on the left) Now measure your speed now.
If your speed didn't drop by 40-50%, be happy.
The point is that chances are, your broker's server isn't next door to you, so measuring speed in close vicinity is not exactly the best way to figure out if your internet speed is sufficient or not...
Ok, here's 3:40 PM Eastern at home location:

No East reading? I'd be deep in the Atlantic by that point.
Here's 3:55 PM Eastern at my home location. Notice the swing in speed vs 15 minutes ago

AN UNACCEPTABLE 54% DROP IN DOWNLOAD SPEED!
The 1,000 mile test didn't seem to swing much. What's killing me are the swings I'm having at home that can happen about any time. Take a look at my post above from last night. That one will shock you, no question.

I'm at out of ideas on this one.
This isp is the only one in my area with ANY kind of speed and they know it. PLUS, I'm paying for 50!

The other isp's you're lucky to get 5 down 1 up.
This is a major thorn in my ass as a performance computer is a waste if driven on "regular unleaded."
An entirely different topic, but important, is the psychological/emotional change that can occur due to low confidence in the data accuracy...
Besides moving (lol), any ideas?
