Intel i7 6700K Trading Computer Setup

Do what rmorse suggested. Even 8GB of RAM is likely enough, but to be sure... check your Task Manager to see how much RAM is actually being used when all of your programs are loaded.

1. If you want to run 6 monitors, your mobo should have at least 3, PCIEx16 slots, but having a "high performance gaming" mobo isn't necessary. (Most mobos today have at least 2, x16 slots, but not all.) They don't all have to be "16-lane", you just need the proper mount.

2. If you get proper trading cards, you won't need such a large PSU. 600-700W would be more than enough.

3. For trading, you don't need powerful video cards. I happen to like Nvidia NVS 310/315, depending upon the connector you like to use.

A computer for gaming or video editing can benefit from having MUCH more horsepower than one for trading.

Thanks for your kind reply.

Well i prefer going with 32 GB Ram...

I am just wondering maybe the Motherboard and Graphics Card, is a bit high end.. ? Any other option there might be to cater 6 monitors..?

A computer is huge -- I'm so glad I scrapped my desktop PC recently for a laptop. PC's feel like dinosaurs.
Why don't you just buy a high-end gaming laptop, if you want powerful specs.

I'm thinking maybe the MSI GT80 Titan gaming laptop is something you may be interested in.
this thing is like the dragon beast of all laptops :wtf:

It's only a matter of matching up your monitors, video cards, and then the mobo to run them... any name-brand mobo with enough x16 slots likely would be fine You could run 2, quad-port cards for 8 monitors from 2, x16 slots... but quads are more expensive and there aren't that many to choose from. Dualheads are plentiful, but for 6 monitors, your mobo would need 3, x16 slots usually.

I believe - desktops have more wider option to expand and add / replace new hardware, comparable to Laptops... Well taking laptops, and having connected 4 or 6 monitors, it would look the same as if taking a Desktop... Whats your view.

Look at the intel NUC if you want a small PC. Will run three 4k monitors daisy chained off it.

looks like a huge waste of money to me.

you could be making millions on a mobile phone if you know what you're doing.

its like buying a truck for your every day shopping.

What a rubbish Reply... good luck using your phone and making money!

this was an example.

clearly, you have more money than brains so go ahed.

"a fool and his money are soon parted"

good luck with your "trading"

Any kind of phone/computer is just an "execution vehicle"... has nothing to do with making money.
