It sounds like Rand Paul is saying, "Do what thou wilt, shall be the whole of the law".
I hope some of you know that this has been said before.........

Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Libertarianism on the back of slaves, no rights for women, Chinese labor, killing native Americans, child labor...
You are one lunatic crazed person if you think America was libertarian for all Americans...
It is a bit like saying the lords in England had a libertarian existence...because they didn't have to answer to anyone...
Quote from OPTIONAL777:
Libertarianism is an offshoot of the Divine right of Kings...
Since America wasn't founded on a monarchy system (LOL!!!) they changed the name to allow the power elite to be afforded the benefits of the monarchy in the name of libertarianism...and sell the carrot of libertarianism to the serf class...
The reality is that most libertarians have major issues with authority figures anyway...unless the authority figures are like Ayn Rand, Ron Paul, or Rand Paul...pushing libertarianism on others as the "only way."
Quote from peilthetraveler:
Why do you racists always assume its the white doctor refusing treatment to the black man. Why can't it be the black doctor refusing treatment to the white man?
Quote from phenomena:
No, socialism is the ideological descendant of feudalism. Instead of the divine right of kings, you guys endorse the divine right of the glorious state. Much like feudalism, you guys have a huge bloated government with bureaucrats and politicians controlling the production and distribution of resources instead of a king and nobles. It's much the same though.
The fact is that (true) liberal/libertarian thinking was borne out of the dismemberment of such power structures (the American and French revolutions).
