In 2020, we will be even more furious than now

It is so funny to me - the Republicans chose the only person that could lose to Hillary Clinton. I understand why that happened - no need to explain it to me.

You guys want to turn everything into a political us versus them. Instead, I have searched thick and thin the economic and political literature for the disease, and equally importantly, the cure.

Richard Wolf, in countless videos that I have posted in P&R including this thread and other threads on ET, has eloquently defined the disease: laissez faire Capitalism and Corporate Welfare. In addition, he has offered a logically tight solution: restructure the corporate laws so that employees and employers incentives are forever locked. Forget The New Deal - that is just a patch on a buggy system.

Why can't we work towards that, as Trump and Sanders supporters, instead of being stuck in the mud forever?

Here isperfect example of the problem. I have posted probably something on the order of 4000 posts, running the single biggest thread on Trump's pathology, and you ask me why I support Clinton? I understand that literacy is at an all time low, but this is ridiculous.

I support Cliton only because there are two choices - and Trump is a complete and utter disaster for the country. Clinton is just more of the same old same old, but there is still a country there of some sort - blurred and beaten and bleeding, but still there. My real support is for Bernie Sanders, whom we are learning probably would have won the primary had it not been for egregious cheating by the DNC.

Why can't you guys get that through your thick skull?
So you and the rest of the left are not quite the revolutionary force you claim to be. You're selling out for the status quo hoping for a better day somewhere down the road. The reality is you're all being played like chumps. The party of intellectuals becomes more ludicrous claim with every passing day.

I have already stated what the correct theoretical thing to do is [imo], and it is what I am doing. I think it might have been a reply to you, but once again, let me state it: :banghead::banghead::banghead:

If you live in a blue state like California, Illinois, Massachusetts, where the Sun would explode first before it went red, vote for Stein. Vice versa for a super red state, vote for Johnson. The idea is, you are still voting, but you are equally sending a message. The risk is low of the evil candidate you really can't stand winning due to this idea that I am proposing.

If you live in a swing state like Utah, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Florida, North Carolina, etc etc...vote your conscious.

I see no other alternative. For you guys, voting for Clinton is like voting for the anti-christ. For me voting for Trump is like guzzling down pure Hydrochloric Acid.
.

that is the problem in a nutshell right there.
you recognize we have a problem with corporate welfare and you seem blame capitalism. (but you did qualify it.)

yet you ask us to listen to a marxist for solutions.
(if he is an unusual more freedom smaller govt marxist let us know.)

the problem is big govt run by cronies. the problem is markets distorted by govt.
for instance open borders and big govt giveaways... does not equal the best workers in the world moving in for opportunity. It creates cheaper wages and more govt expense.

1. the real answer is smaller better govt and more freedom

Which you are not going to get when you allow the cronies to own both the democrats and republicans.

you get the worst of the left and the worst of the right.
obamacare - is corporate welfare designed to leave the market in control of only a few.
and when bush had the reigns he gave us the worst the right could do plus bigger govt.

The real solution is standing in front of our face. Soon, real soon, the structural barriers in people's brain will begin to break down and reformulate from the ground up through reason.

And it works for both sides since the governments role is reduced to almost zero. Either the corporate system self-corrects to this paradigm, or the government has to step in once to make this law and then step out of the way except for enforcing it.

In fact, in this scenario, taxes can go to almost zero, and government reduces in size to just to defense and police and EPA etc. Extreme minimums.

Now, talk to me in 2020, and even I might vote for Trump and just swallow pure hydrochloric acid...
The typical leftist. Somewhere down the road is this Shangri-La, but we'll settle for bullshit today just so long as the bullshit promises the la-la land in some far off land of tomorrow. 2020 comes and you'll sell out again. Why? Because you know the promise is a lie to begin with.

You reached your limit point somewhere before "now". I am nearly there.

Nothing to do with left and right. Change yourself, it is the only thing that you can change. Otherwise your frustration will eventually lead to a heart attack because other people are . Use your vote to reflect where you are. Don't worry about me. Logic and experience will get me where I need to get [fingers crossed].

I post these threads not so much to change anyone else's mind - I am not so naive, but to remind myself of where I came from. It is a journal, a dialogue with myself.

These threads help me wrestle with myself by putting my own beliefs "out there".

Okay, I can respect where you're coming from in this post. As to when I reached my limit. It started in 1969/70 when I believed thier lies about fighting commies and saving freedom. I swore to remain skeptical ever since and have seen nothing to alter my belief that this government is run by incompetent buffoons at best, criminals more likely. They will sacrifice people by the millions just to push the agenda and stay in power. Perhaps I've become to cynical as the years have progressed. I don't see how I could be anything but given the conditions. You're damn right we can't change anyone but ourselves. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes I foolishly forget that. I wish you well on your journey. In the meantime, GO CUBS
