You have to try to understand that most of the US is kind of shocked at where we are. We have trouble accepting that our leaders ignored our immigration laws because they saw that letting in enormous numbers of hispanic migrants would skew voting in their favor. And that republicans went along because they are controlled by big business interests that wanted population growth. But we have come to grips with it and elected Trump because he was the only candidate who seemed prepared to address the situation.
Similarly, it seems beyond obvious to us that europe is making a huge mistake letting in vast numbers of migrants from Africa and the middle east. Your voters seem divided over it. It seems pointless to us to spend vast amounts of money on NATO when (a) the reason for it no longer exists and (b) European countries are intentionally destroying themselves with immigration. The WTO regime has been biased against the US because of issues relating to VAT and socialized health care. We are no longer prepared to accept that either. Germany in particular has benefitted from a euro that is significantly undervalued from where a DM would trade freely.
It seems to me that the US and Europe have kind of reached the end of the road. We are tired of both subsidizing your lot and listening to your lectures. You obviously find us and our elected leaders intolerable. Trump voters largely admire Putin and see no reason for hostile relations with Russia. This is the new reality Europe must accept, and I can imagine it is very difficult to do so. Your policies are obviously suicidal over the long run and we have no desire to be sucked down with you. We love and admire you and weep for our collective loss but in the end, if you have lost your instinct for self preservation, there is little we can do to help.

how much money did the usa spend für gwb's senseless iraq war? many countries from the rest of the world (eu also) supported it - many soldiers lost their life, etc. how long will it take to undo all the chaos this war had caused?
how many us-military bases are there around the globe? for what? for us-interests, or for what else?
it would be a good thing if the usa would stop building more and more weapons. take the money and rebuild your country. why is trump talking about building new and more nuclear weapons? do you need them? do you have too much money?

russia is awash with oil and gas. try and find out how many russians don't have the possibility to heat their homes in the cold russian winters. but putin wants to play superpower.
trump would love to be as powerful in the us as putin is in russia - of course. but that doesn't work - and he will sooner or later have to accept it. last week would have been an opportunity for him to learn a few things. but trump does not believe that there is anything left he has to learn.
those who voted for him with the greatest enthusiasm and hope will without a doubt be left with extreme frustration. trump never planned to do anything for the poorest of you. at the end the rich will be richer. that's all.
tax cuts for the rich and spending even more money for weapons won't make america great (again). gwb did the same - you know the result.
