Moscow Mitch "vote your conscience" McConnell, openly saying he'll acquit, signaling others what that conscience should be.

it's clear the dems just wanted to put on a show and meant to scuttle this whole thing. They could've attached obstruction to the sedition charges w/the GA call. Now they don't want to call in witnesses/evidence to close the case on the sole charge they did bring w/the McCarthy call. Ridiculous.

Donald Trump was never going to get convicted because of politics. The fact that 7 republicans voted guilty is historic. He’s guilty, not convicted. Time to move on.
 
All this will do in embolden Trump to the nth degree. He was impeached twice, acquitted twice. Now he knows in his mind he can do no wrong, and will use that as a main talking point for his 2024 campaign.

could've made a stronger case for history/posterity. Honestly GA filing charges smells of some backdoor deal from GOP to barr him from running again.
