Amnesty and keeping the border open for 5,000 people to just walk in daily then, give them a work permit is not immigration reform. I am sure they will get free monies, free apartment, SSI on top of it and free healthcare too! Any moron can easily see that. The REAL problem in our country... and due respect, you just exemplified it, is the media has intentionally polarized the masses into a binary class of people. It's like the episode of Star Trek where the people on the planet had faces that were black and white striped, but 50/50 hating each other because the stripe was on the different side.
The thing about ET... and you've obviously fallen into this trap... is if anyone defends ANYTHING that Trump did, someone comes after them and as threads go, a heated debate arises and the person defending (something) Trump did... instantly becomes a red hat maga far right extremist. Why do we blame the media for polarization? This implies that people are sheep, and, quite frankly, if people are sheep (easily influenced and unable to think for themselves) then technically they’re up for grabs. Your side can sway them then too.
The real issue with Trump when all is said and done is he thinks the rules of the road don’t apply to him. Getting legislation and policy requires expertise. Anyone’s drunk uncle can get on a soapbox and yell deport the immigrants, it takes actual skill and experience to get legislation through the legislature that will address the immigration issue.
But, yeah, I agree with a lot of what my drunk uncle says. I also understand my drunk uncle has no idea how the US government is organized or how the constitution applies.
