Ditto about not having enough jobs. And ditto for unemployment benefits. America can't afford structural benefits for 10 Million unemployed while having 20 million illegals work American jobs whose paychecks are sent back to Mexico. It's insane. End the unemployment benefits, deport the illegals, prosecute their employers, and lets see what jobs Americans will thumb their nose at then. The whole argument that Americans won't do unskilled labor is pure bs. They will when their back is against the wall!

Disagree? You just restated my case. Americans won't take "those" jobs... mainly because they get somewhat lavish umenployment benefit checks. Let those checks stop and have some Americans go a bit hungry... when it becomes a choice of "take that job" or "not eat", they'll take the job. I know, I've been there.

It was these EMERGLOBAL's comments... "... I have mixed feelings. There are a lot of labors who come over to work illegally. I say give them work permits for seasons. Let them work and go home. That way, If americans want the jobs offered to illegals...then we know how many Permits to allow for "mexican" labor....."

If I recall the history correctly, Eisenhower sent all illegals out of the country... to make room for jobs for returning servicemen... we need that again, as we can't afford any other.

We need to defend our Southern border like N. Korea defends theirs.

America doesn't NEED "cheap, illegal immigrant labor". If we need to pay a bit more for food to employ American labor, we should bear that cost! (It would be much less than all the costs of "subsidizing this and that"... and turning a blind eye to criminal trespass and its accompanying costs.)

Representative? Tell that to Obama, Reid, Pelosi, Schumer, Stupak, Fwank & Dodd.. et al (I'd include Murtha to, but mercifully he died)...

Most people don't realize it, but America is already embroiled in a civil war... Socialists who want to legislatively "take from others and give to themselves" vs. those who want "keep what they've earned"...

Ultimately, the Socialists are likely to prevail... but also unfortunately, ALL Americans will lose (except the ruling political class) if that's the case.

the bottom line is that americans will not work on diry jobs or for less then 20k/year as long as they can get unemployment for 2years and 20k for doing nothing.
